Sadly, that attitude is why millions apply for and accept free money from the government. But it is not free. It was taken from someone and given to them. The list of examples here are endless. I'm glad you enjoy the HOV lane.
Does your violence towards animals include people that blow a hole thru a deers lungs with a high velocity projectile and watch said deer run 20 or 30 yards before succumbing to asphyxiation and shock?
You said -- "I'm glad you enjoy the HOV lane."
I'll wave to you as I'm going by...

No, it does not include hunting.... the correlation there tends to be towards accidental wounds, NOT intentional violence. It does include the torture of domesticated animals....
At the cost of preventing other people from doing the same.
Lots of people CAN'T carpool. I used to drive to the Bay area every day from the other side of the valley(CA), a commute of about 2 hours one way. I didn't have anyone to carpool with and there are thousands of people in the same boat, but still we can't use a lane we bought and paid for with our taxes.
If I can't use all lanes on all highways, then I want a refund on my taxes.
True, a lot of the people they show are guilty of improper care, but I have also seen quite a few where they are truly violently abusive. Most malnourishment cases are closed just through the owner surrendering the animal...
At the end of most of the shows (at least during certain parts of the season), they make requests for donations to help pay for the police work and medical care they show....
Here in Phoenix the HOV lane can be used by vehicles with a special license plate..I think it's for 'alternative energy' vehicles or something like that.
>>>Yeah, people with kids and old passengers have no right, wanting to get out of traffic...who do they think they are?>>>
The HOV lanes weren't meant for, or designed for people who 'want to get out of traffic'. They were meant for CARPOOLERS. Now if you know of any kids and/or old people that are into carpooling, then fine.
The only exception would be for parents carpooling tykes to little league, etc...
I think there should be a 3 or 4-person minimum for HOV lanes. They work well when used properly, but can be abused easily.
So... if I carpool, by driving my wife to work, I can use the lane, but then after I drop her off--- I can't use it.. even though I was a good German and carpooled?
All idiotic social engineering.
What are the carpoolers doing, if not getting out of traffic?
How does one tell the difference between someone just being in the HOV with kids, and someone in the HOV, with kids, that is carpooling?
If you drive on I-64, in the Tidewater Va area, the lane leaving the bases is HOV from 1600-1800 m-f, it is usually completely empty, as is the one in the morning leading into the bases. Why should someone, going to or coming from work and picking up or dropping off their kids, not be allowed in these lanes?
In VA, you can drive in the HOV by yourself, if in a hybrid.
....nothing more to say....
Obviously, they aren't for carpooling...they are for getting out of traffic. No real need for the bold though.
On the contrary. From a government point of view can you say
"CHA-CHING.!!
There's nothing more non-sensical, less practical, less pragmatic, less realistic than a so called "liberal".
They are always anything but liberal. Actually they're all a bunch of busy body fascists telling everyone (except themselves) how to live.
I wanted it bold to...uh.. catch peoples eye.
Geez.
