LONDON Has anyone ever actually seen a rainbow-colored sheep? That's surely what a few British toddlers are asking. Teachers at nursery schools in Oxfordshire, England, have asked children to change the words of the song "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" to "Baa, baa, rainbow sheep" in what some say is an attempt to avoid offending anyone.

Two summers ago, while in Chicago I purchased a "Rainbowhawks" T-shirt and wore it to O'Hare for my return flight. Who's in the concourse? None other than the honorable Reverend Jackson and he looks at the shirt, looks at me, the shirt then me again with a nasty glare. I think he was offended by their powerplay.
I think the Black Prince actually was a friend of Dorothy, no?
"Children, today's lesson is about color. Did you know that some colors are bad? Well, they are. A color like Black is bad. We don't talk about it. We don't sing songs about it. Black is bad, kids. Can you say it with me? "Black is baaaaaaaad". Good. Now, let's sing a song about rainbow sheep, Okay?"
Pretty soon Crayola will have to replace "Black" as a color on a crayon to "The color that cannot be spoken".
Jeez.
A friend of mine in the UK told me that his daughter, who works for HM prisons, can no longer ask for black coffee. She has to ask for coffee with no milk.

It's not quite as PC as the linked report infers, but it's still utterly daft

sheesh. Next thing you know rainbow will be a baaad word b/c everyone will know what is Really being said.
If he were alive, I wonder what Pappy Boyington would have to say about this.
