Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

Why so many lefties?

Because the left can choose candidates from both parties. There is something for them in the GOP -- abortion, gun banning, and frivolous spending.

The hard core lefties can get all that and more with the Democrats.

The Republicans do battle within the GOP and the inevitable 'coalition' will always be the so called moderates of the party and the conservatives -- painted as extremists by the moderates get cast aside.

The conservative wing of the GOP needs to take control of the party and take just one side of an issue -- life, guns, taxes, small government, border control, etc. The longer we take both sides of every issue, we will continue to split the party and end up with the center/leftists.

Where do we get voters to make up for those leaving to join the Dems, you ask? From the millions of disaffected voters who cannot stomach voting for candidates -- or a party -- that violates their deeply held values.

If the Republicans acted like Republicans, their majority would not be in jeopardy. That they behave and legislate as Democrats, that will mean the end of their majority and their individual jobs.

That is not my fault and I accept no responsibility for it. All they have done is grab what they could for themselves and spent tax dollars to reassure their own election and ignored the Constitution and the will of the people.

Perhaps Democrat voters will abide the misconduct of its office holders, but the principled people on the right will not. Unfortunately, either the GOP doesn't think it needs our votes or believes that we will have no where else to go. I, for one, will not reward the bastards.

Puh-leeze.

I support principled candidates. When a candidate has the backbone to stand up for our values, I will back them.

In PA, I support Daryl Metcalfe, Mike Turzai, and Teresa Forcier.

I will not support those who will not support those principles.

I will not vote for a pro abortionist, a gun grabber, a 'big government conservative' no matter how compassionate they are, or those who support open borders. I'm not a single issue voter, but I am adamant about these issues. Violate them and lose my vote and gain my emnity.

The middle is defined by the extremes.

Some think things are hunky-dory.

Some want them all to burn in Hell.

I'll settle for the all encompassing impeachment.

I truly do not believe we have slid toward a socialist society due to this President's compassionate conservatism. Two terms of BJ Clinton did that. If you want to see true socialism, see to it that Hillary and her crowd get control of Congress this year and the Presidency in '08.
Then you will see Marxism in action in our government.

I agree about the socialism. There are too many single-issue voters who are willing to cast aside consevatives for the smallest issue. However I also hate the fact that so many "conservatives" use a single issue as their hotbutton, while they have liberal views on most other things. You can't say you'll get control of the border and guns at the same time.

Take the blinders off and open your eyes.

Medicare drug bill -- socialized medicine.

Huge incresases in federal spending for education -- centralized and mandated by the government.

Campaign finance reforms that attack political speech.

That's just 3 things that quickly come to mind. Socialism is BIG GOVERNMENT making decisions for us all.

Do you really not understand or are you just afraid (or ashamed) to admit it? Or do you like the federal government making life's decisions for you?

I think you need to remove the log from thine own eye Badray. You like to complain, but where are your solutions?
You're going to throw a fit and vote third party?... or maybe just stay home and sit on your hands?
Get ready for two years of impeachment hearings and President Hillary in 2008 primed and ready to go with a majority Democrat Congress. Maybe then you'll miss the good ole days of G.W. Bush.

I believe that you are mmistaken.

Many Democrats fear and dislike Hillary. Everyone on the right despises her. If -- somehow -- she won, she'd be watched like a hawk and couldn't get much done.

McCain, particularly if we maintain control of Congress, would have their cooperation and they'd just follow along as they have with Bush. Even if the Dems do take Congress, McCain will be their willing ally.

Because he wears an "R" on his sleeve, he is much more dangerous. He is the enemy inside the gate. He is Arlen Specter with a psychiatric diagnosis and should never be anywhere near the White House.

Now, now. Don't go injecting reason and fact into a good fearmongering effort by GOP apologists.

Never mind the fact that you are correct too.

What McCain did this time! It's what he does all the time and I am very proud of the post made here on FRepublic, I wish there was a way to make it national. The MSM has already chosen McCain as their candidate for the GOP, and will make a small sway from those who do not give much study to a candidate
and his real political ideas.
Thank you for the article Mr. Robinson, you have nailed this
POS, McCain.

"WE" are the people on this forum who are going to be picking the next president of the United States, with or without you.

LOL

It won't be the 46% or 49% that will vote for McCain that will determine who wins, but the 1% or 5% that will not vote for him that will determine the election.

You can denigrate the 'One Percenters' and 'unappeasables' all you want, but you cannot win without us.

Your solution is what? To elect McCain? To accept any Republican when 'Republican' doesn't mean much? No thanks.

I just will not vote for the lesser of two evils any longer. We've tried that for 40 years and all it brings is more evil and the situation in this country has continued to get worse.

We talk about dumbing down kids with the public education system. That's nothing compared to the dumbing down of the GOP to accept candidates who support Democrat goals just because they claim to be a Republican.

You sound awfully proud of the fact that you can turn the government over to the liberals! We won't forget!

You need to calm down and get out in the trenches to get YOUR candidate elected and quit fearmongering this issue.
I understand your passion, but you need to calmly think of what your hysterical knee-jerk reactions will do (third party candidate votes will help the Dem get elected). I don't want McCain, but I'm sorry I won't go the route of letting Hillary Clinton get in.
We are constantly faced with voting for the lesser of two evils. There is time. The conservative voters in this country need to raise up a better choice. If we don't we only have ourselves to blame when we once again have to hold our nose and vote for one more RINO.

We lost the US Senate in 2000 when Cantwell defeated Gordon in Washington State because 2% of the electorate refused to vote for the lesser of 2 candidates and voted Libertarian. Cantwell won by about 2000 votes, many of those probably fraudlent in the King County DemonRat pile of bile. How many of those 2% would have voted for a Liberal like Cantwell??? None!!!!! That loss tossed the Senate into a 50-50 tie and allowed Carbuncle Jeffords to jump ship and give the Senate to the DemonRats. How much damage was don in that 2 years???? what was lost during that time?? I wonder how many of those principled Libertarian voters would have done differently later. we didn't leap into the mess we are in and we will not leap out. I think the "I will not vote for the lesser of 2 evils" idea is worse than not voting and a potentially catastropic in a close election.
