Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet

John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!

And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!

Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.

How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.

You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!

Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:

The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.

The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.

Power to the state.

Power as an end to itself.

Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.

The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.

Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.

Free speech must die.

The Beast never dies.

I am not wasting anymore time with people who are happy to post lies about his POW years,

What lie did I post? Please point it out to me.

You're just to blind to see it.

Don't post to me.

Huh? I thought that you were leaving this thread. Didn't you just say so? And now you're back telling me to stop posting to you?! Make me.

I didn't call McCain's POW claims into question, but several other people have over the years. I simply said that some of what I'd read had raised serious questions in my mind. Much like the questions I had about Kerry's alleged "war hero" status. If there are some people like the "Swifties" out there who can refute McCain's POW stories, I do hope that they step forward to stop him from getting the nomination. Don't you!!? If McCain truly has lied about his POW experience, don't you want it exposed too just like the Swifties exposed John Kerry?

If you have that much contempt, there is something wrong with you

Is there something wrong with me because I have contempt for someone or contempt for this lunatic who has no business being in the Senate let alone considering another run for President?

That would have some merit, I suppose, JJ, except that me and several hundred other BLOGGERS have been sayng the same thing, not only about McCain, but about the CFR bill and what it does to the constitution...that McCain still goes around flaunting his "veteran hero" status as a particular merit towards presidency strikes me as blatant hypocrisy and flagrant arrogance, not to mention, treasonous. Jim Robinson isnt the first to say this...he's just become official. And I back him up.

I dont take my marching orders from FR. I just come here because I know I can rally with those who share my views. I've seen "the other side." It reeks.

McCain has much free speech to hide from.

I believe that he was paving his way to the presidency by limiting freedom of speech with McCain/Fiengold... McCains history can do him political harm...

Why McCain defends Kerry
Posted: August 10, 2004

© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com

Why would John McCain characterize the SWIFT Boat vets commercial about John Kerry as "dishonest and dishonorable"?

Why would he ask President Bush to denounce it?

Why would he say something similar was "pulled" on him when he seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2000?

Americans are supposed to respect Sen. John McCain because he is a war hero. But is he? And why is he so determined to defend John Kerry's dishonorable activities during and after the Vietnam War?

Now let me begin by saying McCain suffered greatly during his five years of captivity in the "Hanoi Hilton." But his horrific experiences do not entitle him to stretch the truth about his captivity at the hands of North Vietnamese Communists, nor to deceive Americans about his bravery and heroism.

When the Navy pilot was shot down over a lake near Hanoi, his captors did not know who he was – John McCain, son of the admiral in charge of the Pacific fleet. McCain was seriously injured in his ejection and in need of medical attention. In exchange for what passes as first-class care in Vietnam, McCain talked. He told the North Vietnamese about his father. He told them about the chain of command. He described himself as one of the "very best pilots" in the Navy.

Such behavior by a POW is strictly frowned upon in the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the military code of conduct.

"OK," you say, "McCain should be given a pass for this because he was badly hurt. Wasn't his behavior at the Hanoi Hilton honorable after he recovered from his wounds?"

No, not exactly. While serving as a POW, McCain was one of the captives who agreed to be used for propaganda purposes by the enemy. In fact, some argue that an interview he gave to a communist publication – detailing an accident aboard his ship, problems with low morale among U.S. servicemen, the chain of command in the U.S. Navy and other pertinent information – went far beyond mere propaganda and crossed the line into disclosing military intelligence secrets.

On June 5, 1969, the Washington Post carried a story titled, "Reds Say PW Songbird is Pilot Son of Admiral." The article states that, "Hanoi has aired a broadcast in which the pilot son of United States Commander in the Pacific, Adm. John McCain, purportedly admits to having bombed civilian targets in North Vietnam and praises medical treatment he has received since being taken prisoner."

Worse yet, many years later, when both John McCain and John Kerry were serving in the U.S. Senate, they teamed up to betray the families of the POWs and MIAs in favor of sucking up to the murderous Communist Vietnamese regime.

More than any other two men in America, McCain and Kerry orchestrated the cover-up of what became of our Vietnam POWs and MIAs.

As chairman of the Select Senate Committee on POW-MIA Affairs, Kerry gave Hanoi a clean bill of health with regard to credible claims Vietnam was still holding U.S. prisoners of war. Kerry ensured the committee voted that no U.S. servicemen remained there, angering many families of missing servicemen.

McCain served along with Kerry on that committee. According to Ted Samply, writing in the January 1997 issue of U.S. Veteran Dispatch, McCain enjoyed dismal relations with many POW-MIA families and activists. McCain said some harsh words about those who accused the U.S. government of knowingly leaving POWs behind. In fact, he called such people "the most craven, most cynical and most despicable human beings to ever run a scam." McCain's presence on the committee and his willingness to go along with Kerry ensured that the final report would be politically bulletproof.

Kerry got his reward. A year later, Hanoi announced it was awarding Colliers International, a Boston-based real estate company, an exclusive deal to develop its commercial real estate potentially worth billions. Stuart Forbes, the chief executive officer of Colliers, was Kerry's cousin.

One wonders what McCain's reward might be? What was in the cover-up for him? Why has he become an apologist for John Kerry's despicable and dishonorable record in Vietnam and, worse, his actions afterward?

Maybe it's just something about the character of John McCain. Maybe birds of a feather just flock together. Maybe this is why you should take anything McCain says about Kerry with a grain of salt.

###

McCain trashed the Swify Boat Vets, you say you supported, because he knew he was next and there is as much to disclose about his record as about Kerry's.

John McCain is a maverick senator and former Vietnam veteran and prisoner of war for 5 years in North Vietnam. On the positive side, he is a rare exception to the partisan bitterness in Washington these days, often crafting bipartisan approaches to issues such as smoking and campaign reform.

Here are some negative allegations:

- McCain was one of the "Keating Five," congressmen investigated on ethics charges for strenuously helping convicted racketeer Charles Keating after he gave them large campaign contributions and vacation trips.

Charles Keating was convicted of racketeering and fraud in both state and federal court after his Lincoln Savings & Loan collapsed, costing the taxpayers $3.4 billion. His convictions were overturned on technicalities; for example, the federal conviction was overturned because jurors had heard about his state conviction, and his state charges because Judge Lance Ito (yes, that judge) screwed up jury instructions. Neither court cleared him, and he faces new trials in both courts.)

Though he was not convicted of anything, McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating after Keating gave McCain at least $112,00 in contributions. In the mid-1980s, McCain made at least 9 trips on Keating's airplanes, and 3 of those were to Keating's luxurious retreat in the Bahamas. McCain's wife and father-in-law also were the largest investors (at $350,000) in a Keating shopping center; the Phoenix New Times called it a "sweetheart deal."

- Mafia ties: In 1995, McCain sent birthday regards, and regrets for not attending, to Joseph "Joe Bananas" Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, who had retired to Arizona. Another politician to send regrets was Governor Fife Symington, who has since been kicked out of office and convicted of 7 felonies relating to fraud and extortion.

- At least one veteran's group (U.S. Veteran's Dispatch) really hates him, and accuses McCain of cooperating with the North Vietnamese while he was their prisoner. They also sketch McCain's ties, through his wealthy father-in-law, to various Arizona scandals including the murder of reporter Don Bolles.
Check out their version at the US Veteran's Dispatch web site.

- Family troubles: McCain has a reputation as a politician who has difficulty keeping his pants zipped, according to Republican sources. He acknowledges that his adultery broke up his first marriage. His second wife Cindy, the daughter of a wealthy Budweiser beer distributor, was addicted to prescription narcotics and even stole hard drugs from a medical charity that she ran. McCain acknowledges that she didn't want him to run, and only agreed once he promised that she doesn't have to go to New Hampshire or Iowa.

Quotes:

- "Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father." -- John McCain

- Leonardo DiCaprio is "an androgynous wimp." -- McCain.

How can a person have their thesis "sealed"?

Just by announcing that during a campaign in commercials and on the stump, will have a better effect than sKerry's sealed Form-180.

We can only imagine what it says.

OTOH, she can say her views have moderated since.

Why do you talk down to others all the time like they are idiots and say you are the only one that knows anything about McCain without producing a shred of evidence to prove your convictions?

Your Quote:

"McCain's superior OFFICERS supported him and those who are alive still support him."

End Quote.

Two of his superior officers may support him but you are so wrong when you state that others who are still alive also support him. Those I know most certainly do NOT support him and their claim is that those who do not support him far out number those that do.

As for saying his POW years have nothing to do with the coming election, again you're so wrong. His POW years and what he's had to say about that time is part of his character, a very important feature of the person who'll be elected as POTUS. You apparently are under the mistaken impression a leopard can change it's spots.

McCains years as a POW should be taken into consideration on an equal footing along with his history while a member of the Senate.

Haven't you given any thought to the reason he's a co-sponser to the censorship bill? You don't suppose it's because his guilty conscience is trying to stop any of his past discretions being made more public than they already are do you?

...though INDIVIDUAL freepers do put up threads or make posts endorsing candidates.

Good point.

So the Washington Post can publish articles for or against a candidate prior to an election, but individual FReepers can't post those articles for discussion prior to an election?

Maybe if some FReeper from Canada posted said articles.......

Just thinking out loud.
