Silly Canadians, everyone knows real beer comes from Ireland.Indeed!
And from a brewery that's owned by Brits.

If the Canadians are trying to prove to the rest of the world that they're complete morons, they can now stop. POINT MADE! Bloody idiots!
"Last week, Britain's advertising regulator objected to the word "bloody"."
Why just mock all Canadians, have a go at the Brits while you're at it.
Bloody idiot post.
Bloody idiot regulators.

Then why do you lot always refer to the Brits as 'pommies' then?

"Some believe the primary differing factor between Australia & Canada to be the former was settled by criminals & the latter by those at least smart enough not to get caught."
But I've always thought that the Aussies' managing to get that much more distance between themselves and old Limey should count for something.

Just how retarded are you Aussies.
Isn't it obvious that we just want to keep your rot gut
out of Canada.
So, keep sheity beer and sod off, eh...

From what I understand, the Aussie word for taking a "leak" is "Having a Beer"
And the nickname for beer is "P!$$" (what we call Budweiser)

I'd argue that both Australia & New Zealand's relative geographic isolation has made them far less inclined to shake off - for better & for worse - their original "British" traditions & attitudes.
While Canada's proximity to America influences us far more - both pro & con - in your direction.
Further, because "influence" - by definition - happens over an extended time-frame, there's generally & depending upon the issue about a 5-10 year lag time.
(e.g. Harper's election on January 23, 2006 may well have been yours of November 7, 2000 finally coming around)
There's also an issue of the biased nature of the "American" influence we receive:
Although the internet is slowly changing this, unlike you Yanks, we overwhelmingly receive your msm & Hollywood's point of view while hearing far less from decent, right-thinking American sources.
Combined with the afore mentioned lag time, it's no wonder that, for example, Bill Clinton likely remains more popular in Canada than he is Stateside.

Really! They get called more than 'poms' as this extract from a story on cricket in today's "Sydney Morning Herald" shows:
During the controversial Bodyline series of 1932-33, the English captain Douglas Jardine was said to have visited the Australian dressing room to complain bitterly to his counterpart Bill Woodfull that an Australian player had called him a bastard.
Woodfull turned to his team and said: "Which one of you bastards called this bastard a bastard?"

I saw a lot of Clinton-damning from his left from Canadians though. These are the people who thought Bubba is still too conservative. From the CBC and Toronto Red Star, Clinton damning was popular when he was in the White House.

Canada: 14 golds, 22 silvers, 17 bronzes. For the life of me I don't see why you would want to bring up the Commonwealth Games....
New Zealand: 4 Golds, 5 Silver, 12 Bronze

"Commonwealth" (which in itself is meaningless) games.
A better indicator would be how well Australia and Canada did
respectively at the recent Winter Olympic games, where I think
we kicked your skanky arses.

STRUTH! Bloody lying commentators who said Canadian athletes at the Commonwealth Games had competed at world championships, Olympic Games etc We now know they only send their drongoes and galahs to the Commonwealth Games.
