Today was a busy day for President Bush. This morning he gave a press conference at the White House and answered reporters' questions with fire and passion (including a priceless exchange with Helen Thomas). He then welcomed Liberia's President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the Oval Office at the White House, and accompanied her to a social luncheon in her honor, where they enjoyed entertainment by the dance group, Moving in the Spirit, and vocal star, Denyce Graves. Later he met with Iraq and Afghanistan non-governmental organizations (with First Lady Laura in attendance as well).
Lots and lots of expressive pictures of our feisty President today, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!

I think we should ALL e-mail the White House and tell him to keep this up!I agree. The 60 million people who voted for him in '04, voted for the man we saw today. He needs to come out swinging each day for the remainder of his term. The press, the liberals and some in his very own party are out to get him, they think they have him cornered.

Don't worry, I'll record it :-)

I know it's not. I'm just tired of people accusing me of being blind or brainwashed. I don't always agree with President Bush. But I do always support him. I don't have to hate him every time I disagree with him. I don't understand why some people do.

can you imagine these same people telling a CEO of any major corporation who to hire? Thanks for your reply Ohio. I have asked this question more than once today with no comment. I thought of it in the same way you do...CEO listening to some panhandler on the street as to who he should hire.
I have always believed, and told many, his MBA and History degrees were perfect for what he has been dealt during his Presidency.

They THINK they have him cornered, but I have the funny feeling that he........ enjoying being 'misunderestimated' as he does........is going to keep swinging from now until the end of his 8 years in office, and have the RAT party completely finished off by the time he's through with them.

No one else commented? Shame on them! :)
It's so fundamentally preposterous that they should presume to know better than he who should serve in his administration, it isn't even funny.
We have NEVER had a stronger leader/administrator in the Oval Office. He knows exactly what he's doing.

It does not upset me as much as irritate me.
The President has so much information and advice that no one else is aware of it in order to make the appointments that he does.
Yes I understand that pundits/media etc like to predict who will stay, who will go and who will be appointed. To do it in such a way that it sound authoritarian and that they are the fount of all knowledge is not only disrespectful but ignorant and makes them look foolish when 95 per cent of it proves untrue.

Ignorance and not being able to disagree but still remain respectful and friendly.
You have had years of this with your parents so you understand this more than most.
