HERE'S another reason to keep my precious daughter away from the public schools: Childless eggheads who dictate educational policy think it's high time kids her age were indoctrinated in the ways of AIDS. Like hell. My child is a first-grader, thriving in an outrageously expensive private school. There, she is learning about arctic puffins and can run faster than most boys. This child is still an innocent - unschooled in the intricacies of procreation, death and incurable disease.
It would not be that way in a public classroom.
Faceless activists there want to add these words to the vocabulary of children her age - Virus. HIV. AIDS. Even cancer. Under an updated curriculum, all public-school students - starting in kindergarten! - are required to learn about the disease that we know is spread through unsafe sex, intravenous drugs and tainted blood.
But the first-grade learning guide, of which I have a copy, dances around the issues of sex and drugs while needlessly scaring the heck out of little kids.
Who will explain what he or she is not ready to know? As always, parents may "opt out," in writing.
But parents should demand that those who want to be included should "opt in" to the program - so as not to subject their children to embarrassment.
My child will learn about AIDS when she is ready. That day will certainly come sooner than I'd like. She is not a guinea pig for people with an agenda. My only agenda is to let her grow up. And keep her away from that trash heap known as public school. andrea.peyser@nypost.com
That ol' myth has been shot down many times.
Realize that it was fake statistics to create that...for example, they have changed the definition of AIDS many times, along with HIV infections, and "heterosexual," etc. Male immigrants from certain Africa nations were suddenly automatically categorized as "heterosexual" even if they were having sex with men. The majority of IV drug users getting HIV are heterosexual, but why is that relevant to the sex arena?
Truth is, it's very rare for heterosexuals to contract HIV without IV drug use or without homosexual contact (or contact with someone who is involved in such behavior).
How about just providing instruction to kids that "adult" and forbidden activities are to be avoided?
THis is the funniest thing I have ever heard! There is no such thing as the gay agenda. If you weren't so filled with hate and fear of them, you could ask them yourself!
OH, the content of the movies ... that makes sense. I was thinking that the poster was saying that he hangs around local movie theaters looking for 10-year-olds as potential sex partners, but I coudn't figure out how to raise the point tastefully.
ROTFLOL..........I assure you, anything you might post is very tasteful.
LOL.......perfect way to get rid of the trolls.
Effective!
Effective, quick, and fun, too.
OW!
I completely agree... but you don't pay taxes for "alternative education".. Private schools are not publically funded.
Plug the word "gay" coupled with "ACLU" into any search engine and read up. There is an agenda. The gaystoppo are attacking the BSA, school districts, businesses, the military and everyone else that doesn't kowtow to their agenda.
Moderator, we need a sniff test. Possible retread.

Exactly why they should not be publicly funded or subsidized which then makes it become so.
It shouldn't have to be up to a teacher to provide that knowledge. Yes, everyone is not like me, but the stuff doesn't belong in elementary school--especially about condoms and AIDS and such. You can teach respect for those who are "different" without having to go off into all sorts of controversial subjects. An optional sex-ed program taught after school by someone (a parent or professional) is fine with me, but parents should be STRONGLY encouraged to attend. I am really against it being in the regular elementary classroom. There's too many other things that are more important to learn. And I'm just sick and tired of things like this being used to bash teachers.
Are you talking about vouchers?
Every single troll is now an ENEMY OF THE REPUBLIC!
LOL yep
Awesome! Looks like a Turbolaser Blast :)
