Senate Democrats have mapped a political battle plan for the March congressional recess that calls on lawmakers to stage press events with active duty military personnel, veterans and emergency responders to bash President Bush on virtually every one of his national security policies. The game plan, devised by the office of Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, is contained in a six-page memo distributed to Democratic senators on Thursday at a closed-door meeting at the Capitol and provided to The Washington Times by a congressional staffer. Titled "Real Security," the political document calls for staged town hall events at military bases, weapons factories, National Guard units, fire stations and veterans posts.

The Democrats cannot stand on their own merits.
Therefore they have no choice but to sling mud.
The loser's approach to politics.

There's a lot of wisdom in your words.
A candidate or party, unworthy of our trust, has just one position - to bad-mouth their opponent.
A losers approach indeed.
Man, with all these attacks on the President, he may not be re-elected.
"Interesting, the democrats give out their game plan to the enemy!"
with or without their WHITE FLAGS???
I see that those Wiley Dems have retired into the ACME Labs to produce their latest trap...
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
The Taliban Democrat Congress hates Bush...

I call this rock solid proof that the end of the war is near. With a guy like Reid you can bet that about the time he gets this all cranked up it will all turn to ashes and sarcastic jokes.
I want to throw up.
To DUmocrats, soldiers are nothing more than a political prop to spew more anti-American rhetoric and advance their dreams for a communist utopia.
The Democrats are going sugar coat their "retreat and defeat" message and try to sell it at military bases and down at the VFW. Three words: Bring it on.
I can hardly wait.
I've already got dim officeholders on local and state levels who have been running AWAY from the DNC/Reid/Pelosi tactics for the past six years, and now those jerks in DC want to try to make themselves big on national security by doing photo ops with the same people they've been slandering since 9/11. ROFLMAO!!!
Question number one is: Who's going to come get their picture taken with this phoney bunch of bums without leaving the cameraman with a lifetime supply of FOD? (I just got an overpowering urge to move to MA for long enough to volunteer to get my pix with kerry........oh, yeaaaaah.) /extremely evil laugh/
Okay by me if the dims really want to make EVERY candidate run on a national security....they're just handing the Pubbies a great big stick to come bang on their heads.

Yep. And we in FReeper-land will be falling all over ourselves defending the president, instead of forcing Bush to defend himself for a change.
We don't discuss conservative policy and conservative candidates because we are too busy trashing the 'Rats (too easy) and defending the President.
Or maybe that's been Bush's plan all along?
Obviously you don't know FReepers very well
We can do both
They will have the MPs outside the event waiting to take them for processing and court marshals for violating the UCMJ. Servicemen in Iraq have their phone calls terminated for any political talk. Wait until they show up at a "Town Hall."
Ohhhh, Ohhhh you have it wrong about our President Bush. He IS very much a social conservative. That's why I voted for him twice and would again if I could. Some of you Freeps are going to have to face political reality, you get nothing you want if you haven't elected a conservative. Bush has made mistakes, give him a break. We all make mistakes. People disappoint us but we don't throw the baby out with the bath water. At least with Bush, he is trying to protect the baby.
Planss..BS...It's guys like you who are basically
pessimistic about this President. The only thing against
President Bush is he has not given in to the polls
or the news media, who are smarter (they think) than
President Bush and his advisers...well..count me in the
President's corner..If the Dems get their choice in for
President in '08....I will consider moving to the desert
and building an air- conditioned bomb shelter....Jake
More funding! Yes, that's the ticket. We have the biggest budget ever, but we need more funding!
Go for it, Reid.
FYI - Debbie Stabenow is a fat pig who probably didn't get invited to her Senior Prom. Same goes for Maria Cantwell and that little troll from Maryland who Hillary hid her fat a-- behind the other day.
