I don't want a "conservative" television news network. Journalists and tv/cable news networks should be dedicated to facts without ideology or slant.

Blogs and radio commentators are where I go for conservative interpretation of the facts. My news sources should be unfettered with agenda.

Give me conservatism or give me conservatism!

I agree. Enough with this fair and balanced stuff. We want it right. We want it 24 hours and we want it now!!!!!

I suggest you start praying sincerely for "they Kingdom come, they will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven." Because until that prayer is answered there is no such thing as "fair and balanced". Everything is filtered through our biases and beliefs based on "the knowledge of good and evil."

Wait a second. With the inception of a truly conservative news network, would FoxNews still be "right wing" and "extremist?":

While Fox is indeed considerably less prone to infusing its news coverage with the sort of left-wing propagandist rhetoric that its television counterparts use to distort the important events of the day, it is still far from conservative in nature. Calling the Fox News Network right-wing simply because it's not as overtly liberal as CBS or MSNBC, is sort of like suggesting that a Golden Retriever is actually a house cat because it's not as vicious and obtuse as most Rottweilers or Chows.

About the only show on Fox News that is worth anything anymore is Brit Hume's show...

But, given the choice between Fox, CNN, or MSNBC...or the networks...it will be Fox News Channel.

People confuse news reporting with editorializing. A lot of journalists want to be commentators and all too often it shows in their reporting. If you want conservative commentary, you can get that in any number of ways that didn't exist ten or fifteen years ago. That's what Fox and Rush Limbaugh, the Internet, etc, are for. Straight news should just be news.

I have long wished Fox would give up the "fair and balanced" idea and just give us conservative news. The left can get their news over at CNN,ABC,NBC,ABC.

I peruse FR befor I go to work. Most of the vehicles I operate have a radio and I bounce between the 2 christian stations I get here.

Lunch with Paul Harvey. He is about as mainstream as I can stand (but Im usually yelling at him by thursday.)

Afternoons with Rush then hopefully an Archie Bunker re-run in the evening and maybe an hour surfing the threads here.

TV is a waste of time. When I found I had turned into my father and wanted to throw a brick through the Idiot box...It has become nothing more than an annoyance.

You dont need a conservative television news channel.

Alls you need is FreeRepublic.com

"I need a television news network that'll avoid using politically correct terms like 'undocumented workers' when the subject is illegal aliens,"

Hey, did you know Lou Dobbs actually uses the term "illegal aliens" (while presenting his crusade against the administration)?

I almost never watch CNN, but the last couple of weeks I've turned it on to see just how liberally-slanted Dobb's show is. He's determined to say not one good thing about the President.

If you listen, though, it's amazing how it actually sounds like a conservative point-of-view.....wanting increased national security and tougher border control.

The Democrats know these two issues will win elections.

Maybe some of them are truly honest in their concerns. If Lou Dobbs is not one of those, he should win an Emmy for best performance.

Well said. I don't even turn on the T.V. anymore. I have cancelled all newspapers and magazines, except Woodworking, for all the reasons you gave.

You won't find one now. Fox is mainly liberal too. While Brit is excellent and Gibson ok the other shows far from it. Gretta is like True Detective, Hannity is just dumb most of the time, O'Reilly is all over the map unless it is about explotation of children when he is excellent. The news breaks are written by liberals, the running news mediocre.
