Congrats on those 21 years! I love to hear about other LTM's (long term marriages), especially during weeks where I'm completely disgusted with humanity in general.
I don't like humans. People are a different story ;-)
my son and his BEST FRIEND of 8 years no longer "hang out"
his friend started having sex with his girlfriend... not ot mention other unhealthy behaviors...
it has hurt him a lot... but he is standing strong...
told his friend that he loves him... but he wouldn't like his mother hanging out with people who do the things he does..... so how can he....
very proud of him...and I tell him this EVERYDAY!
oh- and by the way--
GREAT JOB! YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD!
That is very COOL!
My father-in-law was in the Navy during WWII, spent his time in the South Pacific. When he was in a hospital in Australia they brought in survivors of the Indianapolis. He didn't talk too very much about it.
Oh, I can dream, but it's moot anyway... I think Montana might be cool though.
New Foxnews Opinion Dynamics poll (they were talking about this on FNC earlier, but didn't hear all as I was listening to Tony and posting and reading:

Wow, your son IS awesome.
A man I "should" have married died on Saturday and his funeral was yesterday in Baton Rouge, LA. He was very unhappily married for the past 4 years as his wife developed dementia a year after they were married. I feel so badly for him - only one year of happy marriage before having to live with a screamer.
Then again, he made me nervous because he wanted to get married too quickly, and I'm positive that's what he did with this woman. I have to wonder if there weren't early signs of her problems but he didn't give himself time to find out?
Anyway, I feel so badly for him......for what he had to put up with for the past 4 years and the guy was the salt of the earth.
I'll probably stop drinking here shortly. I think it's depressing me, along with that interview, remembering my wild and crazy 70's and 80's. Then I think I became "too reasonable" and too responsible. Backlash.
Excuse me - I'm going to go pour this drink down the drain. I've become moribund. No more alcohol today.
LOL!
You are something else, you know it? LOL!
((((hugs))))
You're having Irish Cream this early in the day? Yark!
thank you....
I am very blessed....
trust me... I made LOTS of mistakes! HE DESERVES ALL THE CREDIT!
If I read that poll data right, Congress' approval rating is lower than that of President Bush. WHY oh why is that not mentioned by the MSM? hmmmmmm?
LOL! Unless maybe it was GARRETT IN JEANS that Tony was talking to! LOL!
( I am sooo ashamed )
Mine seem to stand up for what is right, but they are at or near the age where peer pressure really steps up. The 14 yo has discovered girls. I am concerned about how some of them were raised, not how he was.
It was very refreshing that she was actually saying that marriage is the best way to live.
Of course, she'll be slammed by the media for being too "old fashioned" and not "modern" and "cool"!
