Another Liberal Joins Fox
Media Monitor ^ | 3/13/2006 | Cliff Kincaid

Fox News Channel (FNC) has hired former CBS News correspondent Marvin Kalb as a Fox News analyst. FNC host Bill O'Reilly was a student of Kalb's at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School, where he earned a masters degree in public policy. Kalb is now a Senior Fellow at Harvard University's Shorenstein Washington Program.

In addition to his regular appearances on FNC, Kalb showed up as the moderator of an ACLU "Town Hall Meeting on NSA Surveillance" on February 20, where he ventured the paranoid "suspicion" that the NSA spying program against al Qaeda is really going after "political opponents" of the Bush Administration. He offered no evidence for this fantastic claim.

And I thought it was the Bush Administration that was trying to scare people.

The event turned into a Democratic Party campaign event, as panelist John Dean, the former Nixon official who has gone way over to the left, said he hoped that a "light bulb goes off" and that the American people "go to the polls and make a decision" to throw out the Republicans in Congress this year.

Their ratings were down 10% in Feb. They continue on this path and they can count on this trend continuing.

FoxNews seems to be in a retro mode. They've been digging up some oldies from the 70s and 80s.

The powers that be seem only to want to be loved by the rest of the MSM.

They've joined forces with America's enemies and we can turn them OFF and not help them further that agenda.

The advantage of tivo with dual tuners comes to mind. But more and more lately, both tuners are somewhere else.

I thought Marvin Kalb to be retired/dead years ago.

FOX used to be on here any time I was at home. Now, since 2004, I'm down to Special Report and long enough to see if I want to suffer through O"Reilly for a particular piece.

And don't you just LOVE how they give Greta spots their other shows to tell us about her show that nobody watches anyway.

Brit Hume is probably the best newscaster around. I really admire Fred Barnes, but honestly I do not get what is happening to FOX.

Marvin Kalb...just another reason why I've even given up on Fox News as a source of information.

If Fox News keeps this up, there will be real parity among the cable news networks - sooner than later!

About 2 months ago I saw Kalb, as a media expert discussing with other MSM types, and Kalb stated that this computer blog called 'Buckhead' falsely asserted that Dan Rather had fabricated an analysis regarding the Bush Air National Guard story. Kalb was one of the most illinformed analysist I have ever seen.

What on earth can FOX be thinking? Kalb is as left as they get.

I disagree, I like that fact that they are bringing on these liberal left wing reporters. It shows the masses the left's total hypocrisy. No better way to push your point of fair and balanced then showing what fools the left is.

Fair and Balanced, You Decide is what they pitch. They are not the RNCs propaganda tool, they are not responsible for putting out conservative talking points. But, by having both sides presenting the story it gives people a chance to decide for themselves what they want to believe. You simply don't get that anywhere else.

Frankly, that's all you can ask for.

There's only three anchors worth watching on Fox, anymore: Neil Cavuto, John Gibson, and Brit Hume.

I don't understand why some are complaining. Doesn't this make FNC truly fair and balanced? How many consrvatives do you see on ABC, CBS, CNN,NBC and MSNBC? Very few

The more FOX slides, the more we watch sports. My husband was never a sports fan but he's really getting into it.
