The Google founders are big lefties aren't they?
To: Jack Black

It doesn't mater if they are lefties. Even Republicans deal with Communists.

The first time I experienced site-blocking (in a non-work, public environment) was blocking of THIS SITE as a "hate website" by Yahoo-sponsored public terminals at the NYC Visitors' Center in Times Square in about 2001.
But access to DUmmyland? No problem.
To: Jack Black
I don't think so. A couple of months ago, googling "waffles" would bring you to John Kerry's website. He's the #2 result now. But that's google bombing which is a bit different.

There's some good stuff on this site:

Bush/FEMA Drop the Ball Again
Minorities, Children Hit Hardest
As President Bush and his staff cowered in the White House, the snow continued to pile up on the many poor and African-American victims who could not afford to get out of town or to safety in Florida. Crucial supplies of blankets, hot cocoa, popcorn, and dark rum - so essential to surviving the stress of any major snowstorm - lay in stores undelivered.
"Where is the government? I need my sidewalk shoveled so I can get out to buy my damn lottery tickets!" said one D.C. resident from his living room. "Why are we wasting money in Iraq when we could be spending it here on me?"

Interestingly, when you google "flip-flops," you get ... George W. Bush???

Unfortunately, Google is the 900 lb. gorilla which must be dealt with. Through search engine optimization, I got Virtue Media to show up #1 in Google under the keyword phrase "Pro-Life Advertising" and "Pro-Life Television Commercials". I also got Peterson Advertising Corporation to show up #1 in Google under "Conservative Cause Advertising".
Yes, they can be dealt with.

Let the book burning begin.
I don't rust Google.
It's founders act like they don't have enough sense to bring them in out of the rain.

If you leave off the .com you get plenty of hits on google. Also if you search "The People's cube" you get about a million and a half results.

I didn't believe it when I read this, then I went and tried searching for "thepeoplescube.com". Google gives ZERO results. A9 gives 222 results. Yahoo gives 216. MSN gives 442. AltaVista 216. AllTheWeb 84. Lycos 262. AskJeeves 262.
I'm stunned.

Google is despicable. I never use it.
Try using Clusty.com instead. It is a FAR superior search engine.

If you leave off the .com you get plenty of hits on google. That's irrelevant. The fact that they left in references to "thepeoplescube" doesn't negate the fact that they have deleted references to "thepeoplescube.com".

They are blocking it, in fact it leads eventually to a site with a lot less traffic than thepeoplescube.com
