Goggle has apparently relented.

I Googled both and the results were what one would expect.

Free Republic came up #1 and Wikipedia's "Free Republic" cam up #3 or 4.

Jim Robinson's About page on Free Republic came up #4.

In 2004, Al Gore announced the first national network created by, for and with an 18-34 year-old audience. Its mission is to serve as a TV platform where the voices of young adults can be heard. The network will invite audiences to move beyond their roles as viewers to become active collaborators. Its programming will consist of 15-second to five-minute segments relating to pressing issues such as the environment, relationships, spirituality, finance, politics and parenting. Production facilities will be located in San Francisco.

Google's co-founder and president of Technology, Sergey Brin, said, "We're pleased to collaborate with the entire Current team." The new network has even adopted Google's "Current" monicker.

Among those most intimately involved with the project are a veritable who's who of super-connected Democratic donors and operatives, from INdTV's board of directors on down. Besides Gore and Hyatt, those directors include San Francisco investment banker Richard Blum, the husband of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein; Ron Burkle, the billionaire Los Angeles investment banker and Democratic megadonor; and Ed Renwick, a partner in Burkle's investment firm. (That firm, Yucaipa Companies, claims former President Bill Clinton and the Rev. Jesse Jackson among its directors.)

Just give the site several domain names and counter the censorship. Also create redirects and other methods that will allow to fool Google.

Thanks for the link to CLUSTY.com - Added to bookmarks, and I figured out how to remove Google search window from my Netscape 8.1 "functional" toolbar.

I've been boycotting Google ever since they started selling out Chinese Christians and dissidents anyhow.

We may be sure that with all of the $$ Google is getting from selling the Chinese wayward out to the Chicom Gestappo and probably the involuntary organ doner bank as well, they won't miss our patronage a bit, will they?

But how long will it be before some of the major ISPs or browsers here in the so-called "Free World" start blocking "politically incorrect" sites.... like, oh, this one, for example?

As long as places like DU and moveon.org continue to exist, they probably won't take the internet down entirely, but I do expect them to continue to at least try to selectively control it's content.

After all, the foundational credo of the Communist seems to be;

"If we can't CONTROL it/him/her, then it/he/she must be DESTROYED!"

When it comes to taking over and controlling key societal institutions, the left sure knows what they are about.
Consider, for example, the popular press, Academia, most labor Unions (particularly the so-called "Teacher's" Union) and about half (at least) of the nominally "christian" Churches.

Oh; did I mention the ACLU and the AARP? Surely you can fill up a page with the others.

A prime example of the "control or destroy" credo might be the Boy Scouts of America.

When the BSA resisted being infiltrated (with the probable intention of taking them over too) by Soddomites, the ACLU promptly began persecuting them, suing to get them kicked off of government land and out of public facilities.

As far as I know the Boy Scouts are surviving, but it's a constant battle.

Perhaps you've noticed one way that the left can destroy you; they keep filing lawsuits until you go bankrupt defending yourself in court, regardless of any merit the litigation might have.

Awfully clever of them, don't you think?

The Salvation Army, God bless 'em, has also resisted manipulative overtures from anti-Semetic/Christian collectivists, and it has cost them dearly.

Not to be "paranoid" here, but...

With the GOP in such contentious disarray, we may well end up with Queen Hillary in the White Palace in a couple of years. Unless, that is, she can pull off a coup sooner

And in case you havn't noticed, said coup is well under way.
She's not doing it with armed factions, but with an army of slick leftist LAWYERS and bought-&-paid-for Judges.

Just ask Tom DeLay.

Imagine the Federal Communications Commision under her rule.
Do you suppose that Radio networks who carry Conservative Talk Show Hosts are going to have their licenses renewed?

Scared yet? **{8^H~

The time for us to figure out some internet "workarounds" for such selective censorship and internet blockades may well be... well; how's "yesterday" sound?

"Kill a Commie" may have some meritorious sentiments, we suppose, but musically, IMHO, the "Dead Monkeys" are bloody awful.

Has anyone with actual talent ever recorded it?

And, because of factual reporting of Google's assinine ChiCom sycophancy, FReepers and other conservative groups can give back far more than Google ever gave.59

Considering how many businesses and persons have net benefited from Google compared to how many businesses and people have net benefited from FreeRepublic I find your comment ignorant at best. Google has their foot in the door in China. Google has the potential to create several magnitude more value than FreeRepublic. How much inroad has FreeRepublic made into China?

moreover, Google is a traded stock...
we are not obliged to like Google's actions, and we are not obliged to avoid harming Google's stock value as an expression of our displeasure.

You are aware, are you not, that I never said you had to like it? You are aware, are you not,  that I never said you should help or hinder Goggle's stock price?

free markets and public opinion, baby!

What's the traded stock price of FreeRepublic? I wonder what the fare market value of FreeRepublic is -- what would be the highest bid? How many people have heard of FreeRepublic compared to how many people have heard of Google?

I typed the URL into Google and it delivered me right to the site, no problem. I'll try it again right now.

Worked like a charm...
