Shocking Photos Link Texas Republican Candidate Zimmerman to Hillary and Kennedy
Shocking Photo Album ^

Shocking photos are now available that link Texas State House District 48 Republican Candidate Don Zimmerman to Senators Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy.

Don Zimmerman's opponent, Jeff Fleece, has mailed out an attack ad claiming that "Don Zimmerman stood with liberal Democrats like Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton against President Bush".

Now the truth can be revealed.

On December 5th, 2003, Hillary Clinton came to Austin, Texas to promote her Living History book. We have uncovered evidence that Don Zimmerman was there to greet her as she arrived at BookPeople in downtown Austin.

Only a week later on December 12th, Ted Kennedy visited the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin to speak on the Bill of Rights. We have documented evidence that Don Zimmerman was at the scene in the dark of the night to greet Ted Kennedy as well.

You are about to see these shocking photos of Don Zimmerman "standing" with Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy revealing these secret meetings back in the first 2 weeks of December, 2003.

Don is also quoted in a December 6, 2003 Austin American Statesman Article:
"I'm still angry about the lies the Clintons got away with," Don Zimmerman said. "If any stiff on the street did what Bill did, they'd be in jail."

The fact that that letter appeared less than a year after 9/11 does not work in Zimmerman's favor in my eyes.

But I don't live in the district. The people there will undoubtedly get the representative they deserve.

The best part of Texas Politics is in the pre-season anyway because during the sessions, once every two years, nothing happens. I know the trash collectors get pretty upset this time of year because for every house there's an extra bag of garbage.

Was Fleece bankrolled by Leininger? It seems all the candidates that he funds are those who, in his own mind, are RINOs (even if they aren't even close).. Leininger's candidates have been notorious for dirty and BS campaign adds, even causing a few to get sued.

I doubt it. Don is for school choice/vouchers and I thought that was Leininger's main issue.

From what I can tell both candidates are conservative on the issues, (although I have only seen Fleece's stand on right-to-life issues), but Don has a passion and has been out front leading the charge against unneccesary taxes and for the Traditional Marriage Amendment. I earnestly believe he would do his best to change things for the better long after the typical politician gives up and says, "Oh well, I tried."

Thanks,
The problem with Leininger is that he labeled may good Republicans RINOS because they voted against a voucher bill last year, that frankly was a very badly written bill (it would have resulted in massive property tax increases and more of the "Robin Hood" game..)

Don seems like a stand-up guy.. what is his FreeRepublic screen name? I'm out of that district, but I'll do some plugging to those I know in the area.

Here are Kennedy and Hillary "attacking" Bush's War on Terror in 2002:

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"There is no doubt that Saddam Hussein's regime is a serious danger, that he is a tyrant, and that his pursuit of lethal weapons of mass destruction cannot be tolerated. He must be disarmed." -- Ted Kennedy, Sept 27, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." -- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

Jeff Fleece's slimy attack ads continue:

He says that he has defended the U. S. Flag while Don Zimmerman participates in protests where flags are burned.

I bring you yet another shocking photo of Don Zimmerman participating in a protest to commemorate United Nations Day on 10/24/03:

Don Zimmerman at the 10/24/03 United Nations Day FReep

Here is Don holding the United Nations flag while it is being burned protesting U.N. Day by defending the Sovereignty of the United States of America. I believe this is wonderful way to defend the U.S. Flag.

Even Carol Hanle(Jack Stick's Campaign Treasurer) has endorsed Don:

Carol Hanle Endorses Don Zimmerman in HD50 Runoff

Dear District 50 Republicans:

Have you ever watched the Democrats and other adversaries spew out lies and distortions about Republicans, and wished that someone would answer the charges with the truth? What is the difference between distortion and outright lies?

In the case of the attack piece against Don Zimmerman, not much difference. That false attack pieceeven claimed Don “stood with liberal Democrats like Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton against President Bush”*. The truth is, Don was one of a handful of “Free Republic” protestors who actually publicly petitioned AGAINST Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy!

Don Zimmerman is well-known for his unfailing advocacy for Texas taxpayers, and his courage and willingness to speak out on such issues as the massive overspending by Congress, the complete loss of control of our borders, and what many people see as the erosion of our national sovereignty. Don speaks against the incessant demands for more of our tax dollars to support the monopoly school system, coupled with the anarchy that exists in some classrooms, and the lack of accountability on the part of school administrations.

Don Zimmerman has been falsely accused with charges that he “attacks and undermines the President"*. The truth is, Don advocates for the Republican Party of Texas platform and takes his oath to “uphold and defend the Constitution” seriously. Many of us are relieved to know that Don Zimmerman will stand firm for our Republican values, even if it means not standing with some incumbent politicians.

Because Don is loyal to us and not for sale to entrenched politicians and lobbyists, his opponents claim he lacks the “ability to work with people to be successful in the Capitol”**. The truth is, Don will work effectively for us instead of for the people who are “successful” at taking our hard earned money and liberty!

It has been said that most of Don's supporters are outside of his district. That is false, but it reminds me of when we Texans traveled out of our own state with the Mighty Texas Strike Force to support our President for reelection. If it hadn't been for those Texans who were willing to go "outside of our district", to states like Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania, George W. Bush may not have won reelection.

I urge you to vote immediately for Don Zimmerman for State Representative. It's about loyalty, and freedom......

Will lies and distortions carry Fleece to victory? Will Fleece feel convicted and renounce his slimy attack ads? Will Don Zimmerman be punished for participating in protests with fellow FReepers?

Tune in tomorrow and see. Better yet, get out and work your butts off to put an end to these distortions and lies.

I'm voting tomorrow. I don't know if I'm voting for Zimmerman (I can't emphasize enough how much I cannot stand telemarketing calls - even from politicians - and Zimmerman has peppered me with several) but I'm not voting for Fleece. The intentional distortions you cited appeared on a flier in my mailbox just the other day so, no, it doesn't appear as if Fleece's campaign is going to change their tune. No matter what he stands for on the issues, I can't abide Fleece's character assassinations.

The only other race I think I'm eligible for is one of the judges races. I'm not sure who I'm voting for in that one but I know who I'm voting against.

For the judge races, Wilson is endorsed by pro-life groups and Davidson wouldn't tell me any of his positions. In the freemarket.org guide, Keel rated himself a 10 and Holcomb an 8 on a scale of 1-10 as being a strict contructionist. I hope this helps.

The curse of a campaign is needing to reach the voters without aggrivating them too much. Zimmerman's campaign did have "Don't bother" codes on some of there call lists, so they made some effort not to harrass those who requested it.
