I'm voting tomorrow. I don't know if I'm voting for Zimmerman (I can't emphasize enough how much I cannot stand telemarketing calls - even from politicians - and Zimmerman has peppered me with several) but I'm not voting for Fleece. The intentional distortions you cited appeared on a flier in my mailbox just the other day so, no, it doesn't appear as if Fleece's campaign is going to change their tune. No matter what he stands for on the issues, I can't abide Fleece's character assassinations.
The only other race I think I'm eligible for is one of the judges races. I'm not sure who I'm voting for in that one but I know who I'm voting against.
The curse of a campaign is needing to reach the voters without aggrivating them too much. Zimmerman's campaign did have "Don't bother" codes on some of there call lists, so they made some effort not to harrass those who requested it.
