Lets face it, it is not Roe you want overturned you want the abortion law in each state rescinded. That is not going to happen and is not an electable position for someone running for President.I've seen some discussions on EWTN now and again (and I'm a Protestant) discussing ROE, and many Catholics believe that abortion will not be completely wiped out, it will be given to the states to decide and alot of the blue states will opt to keep it legalized, and abortion will be made illegal in the red states.

Exactly right, snugs.
I tried in my first reply to kyle, to point out that we're not a theocracy, which is what he wants, so long as the religion is his. Tali ban mentality.

Miss Marple is a character in mystery novels written by the English author Agatha Christie. They were written from the 1930's through the 1950's. The television series is based on the novels.
I have been a long-time fan of the Christie novels and took my name from that character, who was an older woman who lived in a small English village and solved crimes by watching the behavior of people involved.
When I signed onto FR we were trying to solve all of the mysteries surrounding Monica and Clinton (as well as other things going on in that administration) and so I took the name "Miss Marple."

My opinion on the abortion question:
1. The new SD law will be overturned, thus helping ensure the continuation of Roe v. Wade.
2. I do believe abortion law should be left up to the states, with the following principles:
A. Early term abortion shall always be legal in cases involving rape, incest (with a minor), and the mother's life.
B. Abortion shall be available at any point to save a mother's life.
C. Other than to save a mother's life, no partial birth abortion shall be allowed.

Comparing the reporter to the student, Feared Dem. Governor
Rendell grabs reporter's recorder An angry Gov. Ed Rendell took a tape recorder away from a newspaper reporter during an impromptu interview this week, refusing to give it back for several minutes, according to the paper........Rendell has been involved in other confrontations with reporters, including grabbing the neck of a Philadelphia Inquirer reporter in May 1994...Philadelphia Daily News columnist Gar Joseph, in a Friday item entitled "Rendell 6, reporters 0," cites five other alleged physical confrontations with reporters

Point of fact. Stevens reacted that way to the fillibuster of the Anwar drilling bill. It had nothing to do with the "bridge to nowhere".
Stevens threatened Coburn in the Senate Well because Coburn suggested pork projects, such as the bridge, be removed from legislation.
It WAS about the bridge. And on 2 different occasions Stevens threatened to resign if the bridge pork was removed from the bill.

You are correct, Fox has gone downhill. There can only be a couple of reasons for this. One is that they felt they had the Conservatives tied down and wanted to go for a wider Audience appeal so they moved left and more tabloid-esque. Since Roger Ailes is still in Charge, he may have moved left in his old age, or married a younger liberal woman like John McLaughlin and Barry Goldwater did and be listening to too much pillow talk. They could have different Producers and Directors that lean left. I think it may be all of the aforementioned, and the fact that Rupert Murdock's children that are running the Show(like CEO) now from Overseas are not Conservative at all.

"which is what he wants, so long as the religion is his. Tali ban mentality."
This is the most offensive things I have seen on FR or anywhere else. The idea that Kyle wants a REAL pro-lifer candidate for POTUS therefore he is the TAliban,is a cruels and sick joke on your part and I will pray for you.
The good book says "let your yes be yes" and on abortion that is something Allen has failed to do his whole career.
The fact is you are GLAD Allen is not pro-life and you are doing all you can to water down the definition of what it means to be pro-life.
