Who is this Michael Gordon on MTP? Timmy rolls out his old "we were told we'd be greeted as liberators", and Gordon says he was an embed and in fact in some places we were. Think Timmy will drop that line after this? Hah.
That's better than I expected from Gordon. This is what I'd found about him and posted on the Preview thread:
- Michael Gordon, chief military correspondent for the New York Times (NBC Meet The Press)
In addition he's the co-author, with Gen. Bernard Trainor (Ret.), of
Cobra II: The Inside Story of the Invasion & Occupation of Iraq

The last time I was a single issue voter I voted for Carter because I was angry at Jerry Ford for pardoning Nixon.
So, we got the 4-years-which-seemed-like-20 Carter administration which managed to start the jihadists on their attack America plan.
Sinngle issue voting isn't productive and often ends up getting the results you don't want.
If you sit home and refuse to vote because someone like Guiliani is on the ticket, someone like Hillary will get elected. And while Guiliani is pro-choice, I doubt that he is going to make one of his goals pro-abortion policies throughout the government. Hillary would.

Yep. Wonder why none of our Junk Media ask the Port Deal clowns why, if it was such a huge crises, they did NOT offer it up as stand alone legislation?

"I have such a difficult time sufferring the likes of Russert."FWIW, my theory is Russert long ago used Rush Limbaugh(with his annual, amiable CNBC profiles) as cover for his illegitamacy as a non-partison reporter.
We've seen the real Russert for over 2 years. Coincidentally for two years we have NOT seen the annual Russert/Limbaugh telecasts. Smart on Russert to curry a little bit of trust from conservatives via Limbaugh, but it's been incessant Bush Bash for years now. He's a Democrat operative (again) dressed in reporters clothes. I pray Scooter Libby/Valerie Plame is his downfall.
Oh, Tim, you're such a regular guy; "Go Bills!, or "Go Bost College Eagles!" You are such a fraud. You and 95% of your media buddies. You are the enemy, imho.

I thought for sure FOX would fairly present what was going on, but no such luck. It's like watching the National Enquirer on film.
When Scott Peterson was arrested, Greta and other reporterettes were almost orgasmic.
I jokingly posted that weekend something about the media going wild because Peterson got a haircut. The following Tuesday (IIRC), he actually did get a haircut, and we got 3 days of details of the new Peterson look.
After that point, any time Peterson was mentioned, regardless of the network, I changed the channel.

.. implore those of you who carry grudges against one or more candidates, or who are single issue voters, PLEASE think about Biden in the Pentagon!!! No and no and no!! We have to stick together and keep this from happening!..
In a perfect world, I could consider 100% purity on the issues. However, this wonderful American republic comes with plenty of warts. Your right, it's a relative ruler when you compare Rummy with Biden. I'm with you here.

The disrespect that the Pubbies have shown President Bush recently is second only to the Dems. I would include the MSM (old media) when I say Dems because there are not enough Pubbies in the MSM to even see on Radar.

Lewis lead the effort to bring a bill to the floor this week and the heck with the promised 45 day review. Others are responsible for bring the issue up but Lewis has his own sins to answer for.

By the way, Miss Marple, I had no idea your Freeper name was connected to some TV show (or was it a mini series?). I discovered this while looking over the DVD ads this morning. Is this true? If so, who is "Miss Marple"?

I love it. You are right on all counts.
Apparently, Rush has had enough of him too. Recall that Rush's annual visit was always around Thanksgiving?

I don't remember Gordon at the moment. Sorry.
The point is, IMHO, Old Media is invested in the lies they kept telling readers and viewers and to admit they were wrong justifies all the past criticisms they've had. General Sada will be disbelieved by Old Media because his information does not conform to their preconceived opinions. Old Media went beyond the usual distortions and now they feel compelled to defend the indefensible.
