The last time I was a single issue voter I voted for Carter because I was angry at Jerry Ford for pardoning Nixon.

So, we got the 4-years-which-seemed-like-20 Carter administration which managed to start the jihadists on their attack America plan.

Sinngle issue voting isn't productive and often ends up getting the results you don't want.

If you sit home and refuse to vote because someone like Guiliani is on the ticket, someone like Hillary will get elected. And while Guiliani is pro-choice, I doubt that he is going to make one of his goals pro-abortion policies throughout the government. Hillary would.

By the way, Miss Marple, I had no idea your Freeper name was connected to some TV show (or was it a mini series?). I discovered this while looking over the DVD ads this morning. Is this true? If so, who is "Miss Marple"?

You're absolutely right, Miss Marple.

In addition to Hillary or another Dem in the WH, unfortunately, if enough conservatives/Republicans sit home on election day '06 and the Pubbies get voted out of office we will all be worse off (you think the Dims are the party of "NO" now, if they are in the majority, it will be worse) and the Dims will try to impeach the Prez.

The Pubbies are running away from Bush because of the BOGUS polls and some of their constituents are going to run away from them for not supporting the Prez.

Someone who can make decisions that are sound, experienced and right for the country. Does that sound like McCain or Hillary? Hell no!

You are 100% right, regarding single issue voting. :)

LOL

Sheesh, you voted for Carter? Oi! You are a better person than I. I would NEVER have admitted that. ;)

I voted for Reagan. It was my first election. The last debate clinched it. When Idiot Inc. relied on his daughter Amy to determine this country's nuclear arms position, that scared the heck out of me. Gosh, I still remember my physical reaction to that. I got that deep sinking feeling that the man was a first class moron. If the Soviet Union had had the balls to do a first strike I truly believe this idiot would not have responded in kind. He would have been too busy discussing it with Amy. :)

Hopefully the one issue people on FreeRepublic will remember the Carter/Clinton years before they stay home and allow the worse of two evils into power. We can only hope. :)
