A friend of mine took these pictures of a cougar.  He lives right outside of Yellowstone, and the cougar apparently wanted to get inside of his house.

Walking into the back porch through a fenced area - 1.

Who let the cats out?

I'd probably move away from there.

They can run 30mph, Jump 20ft from a standing position, and a verticle leap of 8ft. Michal Jordan doesn't stand a chance! Can kill and drag prey 7 times their own weight. LOL

There's a good story here. Cougars are more likely to not be seen than seen and it looks like a younger cougar, just going on size alone. I wonder if your friend has pets which the cougar was after.

Well, and a 9mm 147grains hydrashock(tm) can fly 650mph from a standing position, and do a vertical leap of about half a mile. Not to mention that it could kill [although not drag] anything below 250 pounds. A rifle bullet would do even better.

I gave gladesguru a shout, he has them in his backyard, down near Ochopee, Florida. Problem is, the cats seem to know that people are not allowed to take a shot at them, these days. We must all look like tasty metrosexuals to them.

Judging by the succession of photos, this particular cougar presented pretty stationary [i.e. easy] target.
