Abortion rights activist weighs Senate bid [Michelman]

WASHINGTON - Abortion rights advocate Kate Michelman says she will decide soon whether to enter the Pennsylvania Senate race as an independent, a bid that could cause more of a problem for the Democratic challenger than for Republican Sen. Rick Santorum.

Michelman's entrance in the race could erode support for State Treasurer Bob Casey, an anti-abortion candidate who is expected to easily win the Democratic primary in May. For months, Casey has led Santorum, the No. 3 Senate Republican, in opinion polls and national Democrats consider the seat one of their best chances for a pickup.

Michelman, a former president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, said there is angst in her camp over Casey's endorsement of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. She said Democratic Party leaders promised that Casey, if elected, would not vote to confirm justices opposed to abortion.

If Junior tells you that he is pro-life, ask him who he will vote for to organize the Senate. I suspect that he would be forced to admit that he will vote for Biden, Kennedy, Kerry, etc. to be chairs of their respective committees. (Judiciary, Health and Human Services) That will show you how pro-life he really is.

Just her talking about this means she will HAVE TO run. The South Dakota law and the way Roberts and Alito have ruled so far has the baby killers in high alert.
If she backs out now, she will never be a leader in the death community again.

casey has made himself a target now. They won't let up until they punish a rat. casey is in some trouble.
She will be able to get the 67,000 signatures she needs in a weekend in Philly.

Kate Michleman should run for Senate in Pa.. Let's see if Casey Jr will oppose her Pro Abortion Positon. Will Chuckie Schumer and Teddy Kennedy and the rest of the Pro Abortion Catholic Democratic Senator's stand up to Kate Michleman and tell her that her pro Abortion position is wrong and that the Pro Life Position is right?
