State Dept.: U.S. Hostage Tom Fox Killed

An American who was among four Christian activists kidnapped last year in Iraq has been killed, a State Department spokesman said Friday.

The FBI verified that a body found in Iraq Friday morning was that of Tom Fox, 54, of Clear Brook, Va., spokesman Noel Clay said. He said he had no information on the other three hostages.

I am sick of them beheading and killing whoever they please. I dont mean to offend anyone but I am thinking about how these monsters dont mind dying for their "cause" and how they go to heaven and get 100 virgins or whatever. So I think for every person the terrorists kill we should take maybe 100 of them and kill them by disembowellment. Which consists of being disembowelled, and the genitalia and entrails burned before the victim's eyes; the heart was the last to be removed and was then shown to the victim before the entrails were burned. Yes I am barbaric, but so are they and if I have offended anyone I am sorry. But enough is enough! And yes I am a fan of torture if it will prevent another 9/11 or more terror attacks.

Maybe we should all have a good cry and put him in a martyr's hall of fame with Rachel Corrie.

I didn't know the guy and won't be shedding a tear. But it pisses me off when devoid cowards butcher somebody that can't defend themselves. It's evil and devilish when someone does it to a defensless person no matter what the situation. I don't like cowards and won't justify what happened to this guy. You wanna rip the throats out of the people that murdered him? Find them and put them in a large blender and set it on fast? THAT works for me.

I have some friends who's daughter was running one morning. She was abducted and butchered. The thought that she might be at fault in some way for what happened to her is something I would never agree with. This fellow may have been a fool but nothing he did justified what happened to him.

I work every damn day, Bill Gates works, Warren Buffett works, George Will works, Guvnor Arnold works, Bob Dylan works, heck, even the Swimmer works, but these Tom Foxes, Cindy Sheehans, Rachel Corries just travel the world and protest? What's wrong and why is it that no one in the media is ever asking this very basic question?

>>Good for you. Good thing the SBs tightened things up, too. That's when Jim-mah left claiming the SBs were so-o-o-o-o intolerant.<<

I was there JUST PRIOR to the split (until 1992). Until then, I wasn't really too aware of what was happening within the Southern Baptist Convention, I just wanted to learn about the Bible...although there were rumblings that Joe Average on the street probably knew about: "The SBs are fighting amongst themselves."

Boy, did I get an eyeful, up close and personal.

There was not "infighting" at the Seminary itself, at least not on the surface. "Unity" and "tolerance" were strongly encouraged. Dissent was seen as "unloving" and "intolerant." (Sound familiar?)

Just like liberals in politics, my liberal professors used smokescreens when you tried to nail them down to exactly what they were saying, they parsed their words, they used deception and evasion, and painted you as the "unloving one" who wanted to "destroy the fellowship" if you disagreed (they demonized their opposition.)

Keep in mind, this was exactly when Bill Clinton took office, so when he brought his act to the world stage and was using the EXACT PLAYBOOK I had seen used the seminary, I knew this was huge.

Liberalism is not only a mental disorder, it is a spiritual abomination, which enslaves people with its lies.

He is one of the peace-nik pseudo-religionists that gravitate to the apostate denominations. Here's his organization [ http://www.cpt.org/publications/history.php ]. It's unfortunate that he was killed, but I do not consider him guiltless in his own death. In fact, I would consider him a yet another fool who got what he unthinkingly sought. Pity should be reserved for the relatives that cared about him and the pain that they will be left with.

You got this 1000 % correct. What the hell was the idiot doing going to Iraq. I feel for his family, but he was a moron !!

You gotta feel bad for a guy who goes to Iraq to prove WE, the USA, are abusing the Al Qaeda terrorists in Iraq and he ends up like this. Like Elmer Fudd says, "It's a scwewy world."

Elmer Fudd would be laughing at the iwony of it all.

Your logic is faulty. In your analogy, Mr. Fox would be like somebody that defended the butcher of the girl and impeded efforts of the police to apprehend the perp. Fox was opposed to our efforts and, thus, he was an agent on behalf of what we are trying to stop over there. Ask yourself these questions: Was Chamberlain a useful tool of Hitler? Did his appeasement policies add to the causes of war or did they help prevent the horrors of WWII?

I'll grant you that no sound human would ever do to him what they undoubtedly did, but he is still a victim of his own ignorance. Be glad that he and his kind do not yet have control of all our lives or we will all end up like the poor girl you mentioned.

I have to give credit to the tagline to a little Mexican food cafe that I go to in Bridgeport Ne.

However I dedicate my love of nature to my Dad, he was my inspiration and I have passed it down to my daughters.

This deal with Fox getting murdered is a real bummer but these people need to get a clue, this is serious and 'feel good' isn't going to cut it.

In another connection, reminds me of this thread in a macabre kind of way.

Prayers going up!

Rule #1 -- Stay the f#ck out of Iraq.

Rule #2 -- If you ever get the urge to travel to a dysfunctional Third World Islamic sh!t-hole like Iraq, see Rule #1.

In my next life I'll be a professional protester too. I'll protest in Monaco (casino), Czech Republic (beer), Switzerland (army knives), Macao (hookers), Hong Kong (electronics and three piece suits), Singapore (no spitting), Argentina (beef), Andorra, Palm Springs (weather.)
