If this keeps up, I may have to re-evaluate my position on Senator McCain:
"WRITE IN BUSH" Update
Posted by H-Bomb on Friday, 10 March 2006 (14:24:42) EST
This is an update to my earlier post on the Southern Republican Leadership Conference straw poll.
I just saw Chris Matthews' report from Memphis on MSNBC. According to his sources, it appears Sen. John McCain -- ever the keen weathervane of public opinion -- will withdraw his name from the SRLC straw poll and instead urge conferees to vote for ...
George W. Bush. (Sound familiar?)
Sen. McCain will apparently throw his support behind the president as a symbolic gesture of Republican solidarity. You can chalk up all that "Republicans running from Bush" talk up to Mainstream Media wishful thing, I suppose.
By the way ... my sources tell me Sen. McCain will not be alone in urging conferees to "Write in Bush" -- we haven't heard the last of this developing story, I suspect.
LOTS OF EXCELLENT POSTS ON THIS THREAD:

Definitely most Conservatives in Britain I know refuse to answer poll questions full stop so results are always in favour of the Libs Dems and Labour.
In the UK exit polls are not allowed to be published until the polls have closed.

I replied on a thread that was three years old the other day...and then thought, what the heck am I doing! This doesn't matter anymore. I felt pretty silly, actually.
Taught me to look at the posting date when I read the article though! LOL.
That said, if I am the last poster on a thread with no replies too many times in a row I start to feel like a thread killer...or that maybe I have cooties. ; D.
***It's the big one Elizabeth (you must be of a certain age to get this).***
Looking up at the sky: "I'm coming, Elizabeth."
I have to keep telling my husband that wearing a v-necked T shirt in public is not appropriate attire, but he doesn't care. Obviously, neither does the President!
And how about being comfortable in THIS! He looks like he's modeling for a Chinese GQ magazine. :)
And I'll bet you're new enough so that you haven't seen THIS oldie, but super goody.......

"I saw that earlier about McCain....sometimes that guy just surprises the heck out of me.."
He's proving to be more politically astute (and, dare I say it, principled) than all the other Repubican 'presidential wannabes' combined. HE'S RUNNING TO THE PRESIDENT WHILE THE REST ARE BUSY STABBING THE PRESIDENT IN THE BACK!
Hadn't seen the super George one before.
That's cool. Very cool.
Off to help dad to bed see all in a few mins
