"Man Mistakenly Released From Federal Jail Flees"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "(STNG) CHICAGO A North Side man was on the lam after a communication glitch caused him to be accidentally released from the downtown federal jail, authorities said Wednesday.
U.S. marshals were searching for Amar Abu Siessi, 36, a Jordanian national, after they inadvertently let him out of the Metropolitan Correctional Center Monday."
I have gathered everything I can find about that Toronto "Suicide" ( wink, wink, nudge, nudge-- don't panic! Nuthin' to see here folks, just move along... ) bomber here:

Quite common here at Cook County jail.
I was involved personally in someone jailed there. I would call every few hours to see if he bonded out and then could sleep when he had not. Then one time I happened to look out my window and there he was, so I called.
I was told again he was was there. Come to find out later their database was about 12 hours behind and they do not notify a victim. Great huh?
And this guy you posted about looks like so many in this city, did they find him? He's probably a northside cabbie.
Looking for an update now but reread the one you found, the irony of this:
Siessi, a grocery store owner, had been held since March 7 when he was arrested by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on fraud charges, the second fraud case brought against him since December. He is accused of defrauding the Link card program, which provides taxpayer money to the poor so they can buy food.
Now, why would someone who 'owns' a grocery store need Link?!
