Unrest in Pakistan Setback for Terror War
(Full Story)

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan -- A week of unprecedented urban fighting in the wild tribal belt of North Waziristan has left scores dead and forced thousands to flee their homes, raising the stakes in Pakistan's war on Islamic militancy along the Afghan border.

A jumbled alliance of foreign militants, local tribesmen and Islamic students eager for jihad have stepped up resistance in a region where the army already claims to have wiped out al-Qaida as a viable fighting force.

The unrest, brewing for months, is a setback to the U.S.-led war on terror. Further hampering that effort are deteriorating relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan over Afghan claims that Taliban leader Mullah Omar is hiding in Pakistan and suicide bombers are training here.

Great job, I think you have covered most of the problems they are causing us. Let's not forget that they put a burden on our energy, electricity, fuel and water supplies. This country will face a disaster if any of these areas is hit with a natural disaster or terrorist attack.

I think the most dangerous problem we face with these people is the health issue and the crime problems. In Texas when watching the nightly news you see robberies, murder, rape, stabbing, car jackers and they are not from Germany or Sweden. Many of these crimes are committed in conjunction with drug sales, manufacturing and use. I'm wondering at times what happened to the war on drugs?

Man arrested with 99 fake passports in Kabul

KABUL, Mar 18 (Pajhwok Afghan News): Police in the fourth district of capital Kabul Saturday claimed arresting two outlaws with 99 fake passports, security officials said.

Press in charge of Anti-terrorism Department of Interior Ministry Major Tajudin told Pajhwok Afghan News they nabbed the detainees red handed. The enemies were arrested two days back and were now in police custody for further investigations.

The smuggling of forged passports, which can be used for different purposes, had surged recently. Months earlier, police seized 443 blank passports in Kabul city and apprehended the outlaws.

Key al-Qaeda member arrested in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Mar 18 (Pajhwok Afghan News): Pakistani security agencies have arrested a key al-Qaeda member during a raid in its southern city of Quetta.

An intelligence source on condition of anonymity told Pajhwok Afghan News the detained Nasir Mustafa was wanted to the United States in several cases. The 47-year-old Musatafa is a Syrian citizen and his name is included in the American list of most wanted men, said the official.

Besides the 9/11 attacks on World Trade Centre in the United States, the detainee was allegedly involved in the 2004 bomb blasts in Madrid, Spain.

A member of Taliban, who wished not to be named, confirmed the arrest of Nasir Mustafa. Speaking to this correspondent over the telephone, the source said he was living in Kandahar during the reign of Taliban.

WASHINGTON – Here's one that tops the Dubai Ports World deal – but, so far, no one is complaining.

U.S. taxpayers are lending Westinghouse Electric Co. almost $5 billion to build nuclear power plants in China – even though the company, based in Pennsylvania, is about to be sold to Japan's Toshiba Corp., and even though the company is currently owned by British Nuclear Fuels Ltd.

And, so far, no one in the U.S. government is showing any interest in scrutinizing the sale over the transfer of nuclear-power technology – or in halting the loan from the Export-Import Bank.

Plane reportedly goes down near Wikieup (Arizona)

WIKIEUP - There's a report that a plane may have gone down in the Wikieup area, southeast of Kingman.

Mohave County sheriff's office spokeswoman Sandy Edwards says they got a call about 7:30 a.m. from a person who lives in the area that a plane may have gone down.

Edwards says the intial report indicates that it may be a plane that can carry eight to 10 passengers......

Well, on the plane crash over the weekend I was given some research about the pilot,William Cammack :

Frist's HCA stock was held as part of a qualified blind trust, the managers of which must be independent and maintain limited involvement with the lawmaker according to Senate ethics rules. M. Kirk Scobey Jr., Frist's designated and approved trustee, heads the Equitable Trust Co. of Nashville along with William Cammack. Scobey and Cammack purchased Equitable from SunTrust in 2001.

According to disclosure records, Cammack's son William Jr. contributed $2,000 to Frist's Volunteer PAC in 2002 and 2003. The son confirmed prior contributions to Frist that include a $1,000 donation in 1997 but said he could not attribute the source of the PAC contributions.

A 30-year Cochise County law enforcement veteran, and in his third term as sheriff, the Arizona lawman is on the front lines of border problems. For the last nine years, his county has been the most besieged area of the country for illegals and drug smuggling. He's not happy about it and didn't mince words.

Visual examples of radical Islam's hatred toward Americans seem to be at an all time high. I can't remember the last time I turned on the TV when I wasn't hit with images of rioting Muslims hoisting "Hate America" signs while burning President Bush in effigy.

These extremists spew their caustic hatred, referring to us as the "Great Satan." But why? Take a short stroll through history with me and even an idiot can see that their loathing is unfounded, even laughable.
