A world that has become selfish has soured to the idea of leading a life of selflessness. A world that has become grossly materialistic is turned off to the idea of more dependents who consume resources. And a world that mistakenly believes that freedom means a lack of responsibility is opposed to the idea of needy creatures who "tie you down."

This is the key. Babies require commitment. I also think generations of high divorce rates have taken their toll. A lot of young adults I know would rather not risk putting their kids through a divorce.

It was hard on them, and they don't want to do it to a kid of their own.

Another article on the same theme.

I am proud to be the "family redneck," 9 kids and 14 grandbabies!

If the rest of the Jews are slowly becoming extinct, does that mean my family will ultimately repopulate the Jewish world?

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

My wife and I added to the population of the Earth about 10 days ago. I forgot just how wonderful babies are!

They are indeed a blessing.

I will have had 5 in 8 more months and look forward to this last one immensely.

From newborn to 18.....I am very very blessed and grateful.

Folks who don't want children are fine....that's their choice...but I like em.

And I love making em.

Old Man.

This touches so close to home with me today.

My husband and I have two already (4-and-a-half and two), and we've decided to have tow more. BOTH of our families went completely INSANE wiht negativity and slurs. I'm wasintg my advanced degrees to saty home with the kids, it's fiscally irresponsible, overuse of resources, blah blah blah.

I was heartbroken at their reaction. Physically sick. How could you look at babies and NOT see a blessing?

I always enjoy listening to anything Shmuley says. He's been on Medved's radio show as well as Prager's. I think one of the reasons the kids are so selfish today is because they don't have to share - we had to share everything - bedrooms, bathroom (only one!) and I think it made us the better for it. It also helps with the parents age and you have others to help you. Even if a couple of the siblings refuse to help, with 8 or 9 kids, you're far more likely to have some assistance.

There are numerous reasons for big families but a lot of women don't want to go through the physical suffering of that many births, let alone the financial burden.

I love babies. How could anyone not consider them a blessing! I think that what ever God put here is suppose to stay here. Babies are not only an adorable addition to the family they are a lot of responsibility and if you can't handle have a baby than don't do the dirty deed!!!! :)

"I am often asked by women how they can tell whether the men they are dating are marriage material. I tell them, "See if he enjoys children." A man who loves children is playful. He will spend his life joking with his wife because he loves to see her laugh, and will flirt with her because he loves to see her smile."

Raising children is the ultimate act of self-sacrifice. This article was so profound tears came to my eyes.

Christians better start having babies.

We in the United States have already murdered some 43 million babies through abortion.

That is 43 million people who could be used to replace the 12 million illegals clogging up government services.

I can tell you that NON Christians are pushing out babies as fast as possible.

Are you kidding? Why not several wives and forty or fifty kids? At what point are we supposed to stop congratulating you?

My family and I were on a day trip to Seattle back about 3 or 4 years ago. My wife was on a “healthy food” kick, so we went to a PCC Market up in the Green Lake neighborhood. I went in the market with all the kids...and I have 4 of them.
They were all quite well-behaved for being young kids. No screaming, no running through the aisles. They stayed with me and didn’t say much of anything.

The store people were fine, but oh! the looks of utter contempt we got from the customers. They looked at me like I’d just dropped trou and defecated in the parking lot. I mean gutter-crawlin’, acid-spittin’ MEAN looks.

I tell you...I’m beginning to think some people are born without a soul.

Then again we have Obama's offering on the subject:
March 21, 2008
Obama said.... "Look, I got two daughters - 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby. I don't want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn't make sense to not give them information."
