And which option do you support???
I believe DNA testing should be mandatory, this would solve some of these issues in the minds of a lot of fathers IMHO.
Just voted NO, and the majority agree:
No. At least it means the child wasn't aborted.
Men do have a choice -- Don't father children that aren't wanted. If any are unaware of what causes the problem, there are numerous educational venues available.

"DNA testing should be mandatory"
I agree, if there is any doubt. I work with a guy who found out his 9 year old daughter wasn't his after 6 years of child support. (He still paid, as he had acknowledged the child as his for so long. he still considered the child his, anyway.)
That is fascinating. Amazing how much has changed in 50 years. Oddly, I read Dr. Laura's "Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" before I got married last year and she actually suggests much of this!
"Men do have a choice "
True, up to that point. Then the "mom" can have an abortion with no input from the father.
I totally burst out laughing.
Tanks, leap!
PING!!!!
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAA..."reverse" chivalry is dead!
Now we have unmarried gals in their thirties squeezing into hip huggers to date old geezers (who have money) in their fifties so they can stay spoiled brats.
Yep, DNA testing should be law when the baby is born at the hospital and not like a thing the mother uses against the father. "you don't believe its yours!" I just think more people would care for and treat their kids better if they were positive.

Seems to me that if you're a willing participant in the creation of the child, then you have an obligation to support that child.
LOL!
It takes 'em a while to sniff these threads out, but they'll be here.
Dr. Laura's book is TRUTH. That is the way to treat a husband. Women today want their cake and eat it too.
They want to be recognized as a wonderful wife - yet makes her husband feel rejected because "his" needs are 2nd to her "feelings".
They want their children to see how wonderful of a mother she is...as she dumps them off at day care.
They dress like a slut, then complain when comments are made.
This list could go on and on. Ahhh, the days of REAL WOMEN that knew how to treat REAL MEN.
IMO, scripture says the older women shall teach the younger women....that stopped at the - me, me, me, me baby boomer generation.
"willing participant in the creation of the child"
I agree, and both parties should decide on whether to abort or not. (Abortion is legal right now, which is a whole 'nother argument)
While I believe that fathers must accept responsibility for supporting their children, I've been told that it is very wrong for me to want our legal system to enforce my belief system.
If we are to have our legal systems be applied in a fair and consistent manner, then fathers should have the right to walk away from any financial responsibilities for any child conceived in a location where the mother has the right to abort the child against the father's wishes. In those areas where the mother does not have this right, the father would not have the right to avoid his responsibilities either.
That would be fair and consistent and would not inflict my belief system on anyone else. /wise guy mode off
Men should support children they father. It is certainly true that many men pay child support for children that turn out not to be theirs. However, many, like my good-for-nothing sperm donor only pay when FORCED to, or never pay at all for children that ARE theirs.
As to the abortion question. I believe in a lot cases, men probably WANT those abortions to happen. Having said that, I think it ought to be mandatory for the father to be notified and give consent before the abortion takes place. Maybe if these women were forced to do that, it would prevent many abortions.
