Hi Finest Friends...Giz here. It's Pet Day at the Finest. Please join us for a repeat of one of Rusty and my favorite threads!!!! (Fred the Cat thought it was silly...sigh...thats cats for you) Anyway, today we read what some of our finest canine friends might write to God...(These were sent to mom via email, maybe you too, but we thought they were cute enough to illustrate!) ENJOY!

DEAR GOD FROM THE DOG

Dear God, When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it the same old story?

Dear God, Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We dogs love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' the 'Chrysler Beagle'?

Dear God, If a dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad dog?

Dear God, We dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?

Dear God, More meatballs, less spaghetti, please.

Dear God, Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom if ever, smell one another?

Dear God, Let me give you a list of a few things I must remember to be a good dog :

I will not eat the cats' food before they eat it, or after they throw it up.

I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish, crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.

The sofa is not a face towel; neither are Mom and Dad's laps.

The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.

My head does not belong in the refrigerator.

I will not bite the officer's hand when he reaches in for Mom's driver's license and registration.

I will not play tug-of-war with Dad's underwear when he's on the toilet.

Sticking my nose into someone's crotch is not an acceptable way of saying 'hello.'

I do not need to suddenly stand straight up when I'm lying under the coffee table.

I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before entering the house.

I will not throw up in the car.

I will not come in from outside and immediately drag my butt across the carpet.

The cat is not a squeaky toy; so when I play with him and he makes that noise, it's usually not a good thing.

Diva's like a cat with feathers....She does what she dang well pleases and if she doesn't think something belongs where it is....she moves it...

Phone books off shelves, dishes off the kitchen island, the molding on my door frames ;)

The chins are fun (now seperated into boy and girl dorms).

And yeah, there are a lot of animals. At least the cats are all 'barn' cats and live outside :)

Yes, but he seems to have control over it. The tail also relaxes when he sleep....almost completely unfurls.

That is interesting. I noticed in the other picture of him his tail isn't over his back.

Hi Meg and Lori. Just getting back from work. Looks like folks took Giz up on his offer today to show of their furry friends :o) Off to say hello! Meg you cats are precious and Lori just love that picture of Chachi sleeping with JK! Too sweet!

I guess I missed before that you had your very own pigeons. My grandfather was a part time farmer and raised them. Fascinating creatures. BTW, speaking of presidential pets here's Gizzy a few years back with the Pres. and pets (ah hum, with a little help from billie :o)!!

Cute bunny. We live in a rural farming community where 4H is very very big. Lots of kids show bunnies at our county fair. Never realized there are so many different types and breeds!

Yes! It is Sassy. Isn't it a lucky shot? I use that picture a lot of ways! He is a snuggler and loves to touch his head to mine gently..He and TRubble both "talk" and come searching for a pet and a snuggle. Of course they are larger now..TRubble is a real lap full.
