... the UAE would control the manifests for the ships

The SHIPPER, the captain of the ship, if you will, controls the ship's manifest. COSCO ships all sorts of stuff into West Coast ports, but I don't know which terminals they control, if any.

The TERMINAL guys are the handlers. They unload and load, transfer from ship to train (or truck) and the reverse. They also warehouse. They have to route according to instructions, and account for the property they handle (just as the SHIPPER has to account for the property it handles).

People have sleective memory about this border

If you mean that it was a problem BEFORE Bush was elected President, you are right. Pray tell what was he busy doing before he became President? Any kind of job where he might have noticed a massive influx of turd worlders?

your 13. I agree. How low can the president's ratings go? 10%? My last post I wrote I was sick of gurus like Karl Rove. I don't think he's a boy genius but was spun since day 1 that he was one.

They needed more American-run businesses to pull off 9-11 than ME businesses

Whoever said 'politics makes strange bedfellows' much have been a Nostradamus, because the Ports deal sure has made strange bedfellows.

Isn't that the truth.

I was just looking over at the DUmp and they are havin' themselves a par-tay. To think some here could clink glasses with them is incredible.

This vote is a slap in the face to an ally.

Guess you missed all the information from the House Armed Services Committee about the WMD materials that have passed through the UAE.

You've got a lot of nerve coming in here posting facts.

would you prefer Muhammad-track?

It wouldn't be that. DPWorld would run of 300 terminals, but you already knew that, but decided to go with the hysteria.

For bed has Bush, Bill Clinton, Tom Daschle, Rush Limbaugh (hedging), Tony Snow, Madeline Albright, Bob Dole, etc.

Against bed has Hastert, Frist, Hannity, Levin, Schumer, Hillary Clinton, Peter King, etc.

The new WWF of DC lineup! LOL

So apparently the Brit company hasn't been exactly stellar in it's vetting of those they've allowed into the ports. Funny how the Bush-bashers here and congressional weenies aren't up in arms about that.

effort to have a Dubai company take over six major U.S. ports

BTW, it was out of personal favor to you and the excellent links and articles you post that I gritted my teeth and forged ahead to read past this first paragraph false statement in the Always Biased Coverage report.

Big mistake. These spineless R's are worried more about their own re-elections and the polls than they are about helping an ally in the WOT.

I'm concentrating on two R races this year, and the rest of them are on their own.

My efforts will go to Lynn Swann vs.Ed Rendell and Diana Irey vs. John Murtha.

I think your claim in #51 is mistaken. The vote was 62-2 for the amendment.

This Jerry Lewis Clown better never lecture the Rats again about attaching bills to defense spending to get something through. If the ports deal needed to be killed use a separate sheet of paper. DON'T MESS WITH MILITARY MONEY!

Stupid

Anything in the bill that would terminate the flights coming into the U.S. via Emirates A.L.? If one were truly concerned about U.S. Security, it would be much simpler to load a nuke on an EAL and fly it into the US then bypass the airport for whatever destination in mind.

But then again to admit to such simplicity would have to negate all the other BS that the MSM and spineless rinos have been spouting about this THREAT TO U.S. SECURITY.

I truly hope Dubai says adios and kicks our naval fleet out of their deep water ports and evicts our air force from their air fields. We deserve it! That is certainly going to create a conundrum if and when (most likely when) we make the decision to move on Iran.

But you know what? Dubai is not going to do what they have every right to do. Instead, they will continue to allow us access to their ports and air fields simply because they are still our allies despite what the democraps and rinos say..........

Excuse my typographical omission,

It wouldn't be that. DPWorld would run 9 of 300 terminals, but you already knew that, but decided to go with the hysteria.

I'm only supporting REAL conservatives, in the 2006 and 2008 elections.

Time for the real conservatives on FR,
be it Republicans, Independents or Democrats
(like Zell Miller and John O'Neill) to band together
and oust the looney left and RINO's

The "Politically Correct RINO's" on FR are the same group
who "swore"
klintoon, hitlery, hanoi kerry, sanbdi ber(bur)glar, al bore, jane beno,
would be prosecuted for
pardongate, chinagate, the bribes in upstate NY in the 2000 NY Senate race, waco, etc, etc,
"when" the "time was right".
