Bush "Gold Card" would let open borders to cheap labor
Stein Report ^ | March 6, 2006 | Dan Stein

Posted on 03/06/2006 8:26:39 PM PST by lonewacko_dot_com

...The Stein Report has learned of an secret briefing for Senate staffers by the Bush administration today. In a move to build support for Bush's guest worker amnesty plan, administration officials talked about how they would actually implement the program. Jaws dropped as the administration reps explained the centerpiece of the program, a "Gold Card" that would enable illegal aliens to enter the U.S. at will, and work at any job with no labor market or other tests needed but would deny them citizenship. "Gold Card" would be valid forever, similar to current "Green Cards" but illegal aliens holding a "Gold Card" would not be able to adjust their status through naturalization...

None of this "Report" has been confirmed, it is just another KNEE JERK rumor that you people LOVE to rage over.

All of you who bash the President continuously over unsubstantiated B.S. such as this, should be ashamed.

That in and of itself, is an impossibility. You people are patently incapable of seeing yourselves for what you are.

It's really a plan to create a New America. Where everybody works on the Great American Plantation while the bosses live in splendor supported by taxes and corruption and more taxes. Also, it is a plan to leave the back gate wide open to terror. In short, it's not a plan at all. It's a GD revolution being proposed by our elitist government in D.C.

"Sponsored by Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., the committee chairman, the legislation is designed to strike a middle course between a bill passed by the House of Representatives calling for tougher immigration enforcement and pro-immigration advocates who call for permanent legal status - and eventual citizenship - for the estimated 11 million aliens now in the country illegally."

"He's really acting like someone who doesn't care what actual citizens think or want."

He's in his last term. I think he's going to do what he thinks is right, and also accomplish a few not so altruistic goals, (e.g. position friends and family to prosper financially).

If anyone doesn't like it, they don't have to vote for him next time. Oh wait....

Won't be surprised at all to see history repeat itself with a lame, limping Bush presidency handing over the WH to Clinton on a silver platter.

Actually, if you read my 'about' page, you'll see where I'm coming from.
The county I worked for was one of the Ports of Entry for a certain product of Latin America. Hell, everyone in the cops and robbers biz who bothered to look beyond their hood ornament know about Mena.
These 11 to 20 million guest workers, once legalized will have the Democrats pushing for full citizenship. This whole country will end up permanently in the hands of the Democrats - forever once this happens.
If you really want to know what's going on, dig up my 'In Forum' post to little Jeremiah were I discuss Terrence Reed's book "Compromised, Bush Clinton and cocaine".

I've pinged the article several times, hoping someone would call BS on it so I could go into further details.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

I don't want him to do what "he thinks is right". I want him to do only those things the CONSTITUTION tells him he can do.

Allowing us to be invaded by illegals isn't one of those things in his job description.

I don't live in Tancredo's district so if any form of amnesty passes, I'll stay home on election day.

I won't. If it turns out that anybody who represents me votes for anything remotely resembling amnesty or a guest worker program I will be casting a punishment vote against them and for their opponent. If you simply withhold your vote it counts once. If you vote for their opponent it counts twice.

"Well how about a Platinum Card for US taxpayers, we can work and not pay taxes as long as we want! Its not an amnesty really!"

I like your idea much better than the Gold Card idea. But if one led to the other, it wouldn't bother me that much.

Jeb won't run in 08. That would be too much Bush, and he knows it. Watch out for him in 12, if things fall right, or 16. He's still a pretty young guy, isn't he?

But they let them come and they don't enforce the tax laws on them. That's the part that gets me. If all these illegals were paying their fair share of the taxes and we knew who they were, I wouldn't be nearly so angry about it. But we don't.

At any rate, I'm not for anything that puts amnesty before border security.

H-1B applicants falsify job experience and education

No, why would that do it? It is American workers who lack education and experience. That is why American workers have to train their replacement.

This is the beginning of the end for the GOP. That is bad enough but it is also the beginning of the end for the culture and the language we have known as the USA. With the language and our culture the constitution will have been torn up as well and when that is realized we will have realized the end, the final end of our nation. The liberals may have been right all along, he should be impeached, but not for lying about WMD in Iraq, but rather about acts he is pushing like this. It is un-American and not defending our nation from an invasion from the south is possibly treason.

Of course, we all know about the situation at the low end of the labor scale, with the danger of 100 dollar an ounce lettuce if we don't let a couple million more illegals in, but the effects on the high end scale are also going to be of growing voter concern in the future.

See my tagline.

It was puzzling why our ruling elite promotes issues that are obviously a threat to the stability of this country, then I read "The Brotherhood of Darkness" by Dr. Stanly Monteith. True or not, the dots that Dr. Monteith connects sheds much light on what is now happening and what has gone on around the world.

Bush is a lame duck and doesn't care

Bush is a lame duck and *I* don't care what he thinks on this issue. It is our job now to cut his legs off with regard to the diabolical amnesty plan.

He's really acting like someone who doesn't care what actual citizens think or want.

Just another rich kid that due to his family's wealth, status and power was able to get paid big money for his "investment" in a sports stadium paid for with taxpayer money.

Neil, his brother, has made a mint selling his family connections.

Jeb, the other brother, didn't have the balls to help a woman who was being murdered by her unfaithful husband. He allowed her parents to watch her melt away like a ice cube on a hot Florida day. Watch them run him for president anyway because they know the public is stupid.

Frankly, I'm sick of all these "celebrity" type politicos who are where they are mainly because of their family ties.
