How's Your 'Progenitor A?' (Unbelieveable)

How’s your 'Progenitor A?'

By David Rennie, Europe Correspondent
(Filed: 07/03/2006)

Spain has taken another step in its journey from conservative to liberal bastion by creating new birth certificates to avoid discrimination against same-sex couples.

According to an announcement in the Official Bulletin of State "The expression "father" will be replaced with "Progenitor A", and "mother" will be replaced with "Progenitor B"."

The head of the national Civil Register, Pilar Blanco-Morales, told the newspaper ABC that the change took account of a new law on same-sex marriages passed by the socialist government in July.

The move has prompted sharp criticism from conservatives and family groups who said language was being rewritten to "brainwash" the Spanish into accepting a new definition of parenthood.

The birth certificate reforms have prompted the Spanish press to re-work popular sayings using the new terms.

English equivalents would include "Progenitor B, I hardly knew you," and "Who's your Progenitor A?"

But Miss Blanco-Morales said the new birth certificates upheld Spanish traditions, including the custom that a Spaniard has two surnames, one from their father and one from their mother.

They've got another problem now. They are placing Progenitor A (father) in front of Progenitor B (mother). Not too politically correct.

"Bring back Franco"

Yep- now I'm starting to understand why there were so many bullet holes in the buildings in Spain during Franco's rule. What a bunch of Progenitor B f***ers.

And this from the nation that drove out the Western Caliphate? Pelayo and Cortez must be turning over in their graves. If this is the kind of cr@p coming out of Spain, it will again be called Andalus and be ruled by Moorish amirs not many years hence. The decline of modern Spain sounds familiar. As Gibbon says:

The Goths were no longer the victorious barbarians who had humbled the pride of Rome, despoiled the queen of nations, and penetrated from the Danube to the Atlantic Ocean. Secluded from the world by the Pyrenean mountains, the successors of Alaric had slumbered in long peace; the walls of the cities were mouldered into dust; the youth had abandoned the exercise of arms; and the presumption of their ancient renown would expose them in a field of battle to the first assault of the invaders (The World's Great Events, "Arab Conquest of Spain", p. 229).

So progenitor A and progenitor B will have a bunch of little Fs.

This is just ridiculous.

This would come in handy if Spain allows polygamy.

Progenitor A is married to Progentor's B through G...

What's ironic about all this is that these clowns were put in power by the islamists as a result of their bombing the Madrid train. I'm sure the Islamists are completely against this and other changes brought about by the socialists. So are they regretting this now - or are they just content to let Spain rot into moral decay and then move in and clean up the place.

I can just imagine in my youth calling my Dad "Progenitor A", then getting hit upside the head with a quart of Old Reading.
