Have you tried using System Restore? You are running XP Pro, right? Try going to the start menu, run, msconfig, then run System Restore.

I reloaded Pro so I could at least have windows to look at...Depending on how your system is set up and how you "reloaded" that may be the only thing you have now. You may have to go to your backup hard drive. You do have a backup don't you?

If you reloaded Pro, your other accounts may still show up, but they will not work. You can browse to the old account info (if it still exists) and see if your files are still there (sometimes reloading a Microsoft OS will leave much old info intact and accessible) and try taking ownership of the files to put into your new account. But much info is just lost and will have to be rebuilt.
Good Luck

It sounds like you just need to go into your daughters account, and reset the password for your account. Or, your account may just be disabled.
Go in to your daughters account, right mouse click "my computer" left click "manage" go down to "local users and computers" left click on "users" and look for your user account. Should be able to right mouse click on your user account and reset the password or account.

One way is to login as admin. All user profiles are unders c:\documents and settings
1. create a new user
2. login as that user one time
3. logout of that user
4. login as another admin
5. delete the new user profile
6. rename the old profile you were not able to get into to the name of the new user profile you just deleted.
6. right click on folder or renamed user profile folder and go to 'properties' click on security tab and make sure your user has full rights to this folder
7. when you login as new user old user's profile is your new profile...
8. follow me?

Have you tried to do a system restore?
Got to your "Start" tab....click on "Programs"...."Accessories"....."System Tools"....."System Restore".....and follow the directions to restore to an earlier date......perhaps a couple of days BEFORE the kids made their changes.
I hope this helps you.
