Meet the Clintons in and out of the UAE
Khaleej Times ^ | March 4, 2006 | BILL O BRIEN & MATEIN KHALID

Posted on 03/05/2006 9:56:24 AM PST by TheLion

MANY residents of UAE thought — mistakenly as it turns out — that they knew the Clintons. Former president Bill and former co-president/current New York Senator Hillary were deemed to be friends of the UAE — and the Arab world in general.

While Hillary hadn’t visited the UAE recently, Bill is a regular — at least when he’s invited for a paid speech or appearance. Sometimes, he’s graced us in person — other times via a video conference. President Bush, everyone agreed, was an anti-Arab cowboy, worthy of little more than derision.

"Perhaps Dubais now understand that THE President Bush is more trustworthy than its former buddy.

Good point....maybe some in this country will also.

For decades, the Clintons have managed to put the kabosh on their lust for oil. Thanks to whomever is finally flushing them out...for what good it will do.

Thanks for the post! Well done!

This port debacle could end well. Bush only has to have a fireside chat with the country during prime time and explain the deal (business transaction between two foreign countries), security (which would be in American hands) and what access Dubai would have to our security process (this I am not clear on). Detail that clearly and most likely the port issue would disappear.

And to get more mileage Bush could throw egg on the face of Hillary/Schumer by thanking former President Clinton for his help as an agent to Dubai and thank Dubai for the generous donations to Clinton's library and then invite the nation to see Clinton's library and what Clinton did with the Dubai money. ;)

I'm alternating reading Sammon's book w/The Real Jimmy Carter book.......can't take the latter in large doses.

I used to group clinton and carter as the 2 worst presidents, but now I see that in the race for the WORST president, carter wins by a furlong.

LOL. I read that book about Carter last year and actually typed notes about it so I wouldn't forget just how bad he was.

What was surprising, and would never happen today, imo, is that at one time Time magazine was actually honest enough to right the following about Jimmy Carter:

"...he skirts what we used to call treason in this country."

When Carter wrote the UN council members and told them to vote AGAINST the U.S., he WAS treasonous imo. The same for Kerry meeting w/the enemy in Paris while he was still in the service. Yet, NOBODY has ever been convicted...even tried...according to the LOGAN ACT.

And add Rockefeller going to Syria and some other countries to tell them that we'd be invading Iraq soon. Nothing like telling our enemies our soldiers will be in the region soon, just in case they felt like a full scale WMD attack on them or something.

Treason is right and I don't understand why these people aren't arrested. It's discouraged me more than I've ever been before.

Did Judith Miller deliberately inform that Arab group that they too were going to be 'visited'? The NYT and WP also published intelligence info which served our enemies. The list is growing longer and longer of those who should be punished.......I'm angry enough to suggest that their citizenship be withdrawn and the lot of them be shipped to Iran.

Yes regarding Judith Miller. We really need to change the laws, imo.

But Mr Peach informed me he's heard that Congress is looking to make the shield law stronger. Idiots.

Geez, look how her thighness has aged since that picture.

I guess that's what happens if you are always negative about everything.

'It will be interesting to see how your friends will react to'

Cognitive dissonance would set in. A lieberal is by nature an angry person. Provide evidence that contradicts their sacred cows and bamm a sure recipe for anger and vitriolic attack on your character.

But I couldn't give a RAT's arse. One trait all bleeding hears liberals have is that they are all chickenshits. They will rant & rave but will not fight. They simply don't believe enough in anything to put it all on the line.

Others will do the fightin!

She was pretty wrinkly even in that old photo, but when I shrunk it down, a lot of that nice definition disappeared. I couldn't find a better photo of her grimacing. If you have one, post it and I'll change it!
