That is partially correct. Clinton conspired with Ann Richards, the &^%$& governor of Texas at the time and she permitted Federal troops and equipment to be used against U.S. citizens. She was in that mess up to her wattled neck. And yes, W. Clark was the base commander of Ft. Hood at the time and was rewarded with the promotion to NAO commander. Sickening, isn't it?

This is where most of the polls take place, IMHO.
When Gen. Pace said that Buckley should go to Iraq and walk the streets, Timmy asked if he could walk everywhere in Baghdad? DUH! You can't safely walk the streets everywhere in most (any?) major American city.
If I could think of a word worse than pathetic...
Sickening in the extreme. Thanks for that bit of info I was lacking. Didn't realize that Ann Richards was in concurrence with the introduction of tanks to the standoff.
Any inner city in a blue state would be very dangerous for the uninitiated.
I didn't catch that. I was spellbound by Edwards LOL!
I agree about FEMA being made its own department, once again.
I just hope that CONGRESS remembers that THEY are the ones the "built" the Department of Homeland Security, with the "help" of the 9/11 Commission....so, I don't want to hear "Bush's fault" at all.
Sure, the "Bush had never vetoed a bill" crowd can complain that he didn't veto it....but he would have had the Jersey Girls protesting outside the White House like Cindy Sheehan has.
There is the problem that some of the top people in the Louisiana Homeland Security Agency were Indicted Prior to Katrina, so the names and faces might have been unfamiliar and those that were there may have been inexperienced, as well as lacking resources because of the graft.
Yep, Clark was promoted and promptly tried to start a war with Russisa at the Kosovo airport. What a guy..... /sarcasm
Go J!!
IIRC, when Rita was doing its thing, many news organizations and in particular FoxNews were on site at the Industrial Canal Levee, showing an overtopping. They persistently referred to it as a breach. LOL. Anything to hold viewers.
Excellent summary of levee issues: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1517817/posts
It's obvious that the only thing that qualifies Edwards to run is his inflated ego.
535 members of the US House and Senate are quick to take any credit they think they can claim, but they are loathe to take repsonsibility for any blame for what they've done wrong.
I am seeing a few Red State types get pretty sissified recently, and I do not like this "Brokeback Mountain" kind of Pubbie I have been witnessing lately. It is pretty normal for the Dumbs to behave like that, but most of the American electorate do not think that way.
So true!
The Congress critters (and the media) seem to conveniently forget that Congress were also on holiday during August and that they have many more "holidays" than the President does.
Lets be honest if you are the President, Vice President or even a member of the cabinet you are never truly on holiday.
Keeping with the "Libby Rule," doesn't the government first have to establish that the leak could be in violation of criminal statute, before they start asking whodunnit?
Simply challenge for the Pollsters. Reverse the respondents ratio Dem vrs Republicans, cut by 2/3rds the "independents" and evenly spit that 2/3s into "leans Dems" and "leans Repbs". Re-poll and republish the result. Like any statistical data, the assumptions and framework work you build into the collecting the data effects the outcome. The "News Media" polls jiggered the data to get the current results. I thought previous polling was bad but we have no entered the insane zone for pollsters. The rational "oh well more people tell they are Democrats now" is a self serving lie told to justify their slanting the data harder and harder left. The fact is political identify does NOT swing back and forth easily for most people. Like most self chosen ideficiations, people are slow to change once they "identify" their "Side". This claim that "people are flocking to the Democrats so we have to poll more Democrats" told by the Failed Media is pure Junk Science. No reputable Social Scientist would ever put their name to this kind of garbage methodology. The problem for us is all the Talking Heads define reality by poll numbers. They base everything on what they read in the polls. That is why you get such shock out of them Election Night. The data never matches the REAL results. This is an excellent example of how Garbage IN, Garbage OUT works.
