"I'm watching FNS and I can't believe we're still hearing about Katrina. "
And Brown comes off as more truthful than either Fran Townsend or Chertoff. Chert is a Liar's liar and has been caught in many. Townsend is too stupid to have opinions. She just gets fed BS and regurgitates.
Why doesn't the media display Brown's phone logs?
Thats why he didn't impress me. The whole 'review of all terminals' was just an excuse to kill THIS deal, and that much was transparent to me. I guess it could kill any 'arab deal', but who knows.
I can't believe that Jack Murthfat is still getting airtime.
I guess the media needs to bring in someone else to make news over the next week.
Yes. That's what the official record shows.
What is becoming very clear to me is that Edwards and other out of the loop and some in the loop are getting almost 100 percent of their info from the MSM. The MSM lies, obfuscates, leaves out important facts, does not do their homework, only speaks to negative influences like the Unions and in general mucks up every story. Can we even remember the last time the MSM did a good job reporting any story? I cannot think back that far. Just maybe someone with a more extensive research facility than me can try to dig one up. The MSM are so stuck on stupid, and "hate Bush" all the time that they have no concept and any realization that their inept Reporting and convoluted prejudicial stories are archived for eternity.
The idea that the President has that authority during a natural disaster has never been used, but it is being discussed now for the future, because of the scope of the damage of Katrina, and the incompetence of LAs leaders.
The thing most interesting, but not at all surprising, is to watch how Timmy interacts with his democrat guests as opposed to his republican guests. He was flat out rude in his questioning of General Pace, and yet his questions to Edwards are soft-balls and he is questioning him with a soft voice and a show of respect. His questions to Kemp on the other hand are asked with cynicism and rudeness and a raised voice. He is such a liberal hack, disgusting. As always, I hope that LIbby's defense team is taping the show so to catch Russert in more on-air lies.
I do believe Mitch Landrieu, Lt Gov and brother of Little Mary, is the head of La emergency preparedness.
someone correct me if I am wrong. He is the one who spent oodles of money on his BR apt to make it comfy for himself and he is now running for Mayor of NO in preparation for his illustrious political career.
Nobody mentions it much down here.
more like sickening
Can you direct me to your source, please
I'm off to church, be back later this afternoon.
On the morning of the storm I was listening to short wave reports from NO and there was a report of levee breach, not topping, about 9 am or so. I rushed to watched the tv and nothing was on, all day. I was stunned. There was that one report on short wave and then nothing on radio or anywhere. And the report was live from a sheriff's deputy interviewed in his car during the storm.
I guess we'll see this November if perception is greater than reality in New Orleans and Louisiana. If I'm not mistaken, both the governor and mayor are up for reelection.
Watch the elction to replace Cunningham, who was corrupt. Chances are, that another republican will comfortably elected because he was punished by his party in power for what he did. People understand the difference of person & party.
Same thing with Bob Ney of Ohio. Media projected him as the fraudster with Abramoff. No prominent dem. came forward to oppose him. Republicans' GWOT is a powerful org. built by our President. Only republicans chose to distance from the President will face problems than the other way.
Brit Hume, as usual, is the voice of reason and reality, pointing out that it doesn't matter whose government it is, when you are hit with a storm of this magnitude, it is going to be a hell of a mess and things cannot be made perfect.
This takes my breath away. I guess they are still paying off all the coverage they did of Clinton's overseas trips....even Mrs. on her annual spring break trips.
Failing but not failed on Sunday is how I remember it. All the old media was talking about everything being okay and how they escaped more damage early Monday morning. That was all over the news until the water started comeing in and old media realized it wasn't over.
