I'm not so sure it's that difficult. It'd be tough to get over there from down past Dey Hall or from Raleigh Street by the Student Union, but it seems it'd be relatively easy to pop down from Lenoir Drive between Davis Library and the Upper Quad. So long as there's no service vehicle blocking the way as there usually is!
Yes. Here in NC that's still how it's being reported.
My question also.
Its a good thing he could not afford the bombs that go with the SUV
I just figured it was a disgruntled Duke fan.
Mohammed Reza Taheriazar, 23, who graduated in 2005, is in custody at the Department of Public Safety after turning himself in after the incident. He was born May 5, 1983, according to University registrar records. He was a psychology and philosophy major. He was published in The Charlotte Observer for dean's list honors in spring 2005. He is still listed as a senior in the print directory.
At about 2 p.m. a bomb threat was called into the University Commons apartment buiding D, at 303 Smith Level Road, where Taheriazar is believed to live. State Bureau of Investigations officials entered the building at 3:03 p.m. The Federal Bureau of Investigations now have arrived.
Capt. Joel Booker, of the Carrboro Police Department, said they are not sure how the threat is related to the campus incident. Officials believe Taheriazar lives in University Commons. All buildings have been cleared. Booker says there is reason to believe that there is a public threat at the building(snip)

Just another depressed young man like the one that blew himself up at the Oklahoma football game.
no terrorism, nothing to see here, move on......
You must be an intolerant racist for thinking such thoughts! (sarcasm off)
I wonder if we'll find out he shaved his body before donning his "meeting Allah" clothes.
What? A plane wasn't handy?
"Rush talked about this story. Apparently it was originally reported as a rogue SUV that did the attacking with no mention of a driver."
This always struck me as a faulty line of logic. Yes there are huge amounts of anti-suv propaganda out there. But when a car hits someone the papers always say "Pedestrian hit by car." When a semi hits something it is always "Semi strikes building" or something of the like. When an airplane crashes it is always "airplane crashes."
Eyewitness News
(03/03/06 -- CHAPEL HILL) - An SUV plowed into a group of several pedestrians at UNC-Chapel Hill on Friday, injuring six, police said.
It happened around noon Friday in front of Lenoir Hall on the campus, in a common area known as the Pit. Paramedics took six people to UNC Hospitals. Officials say none of the people were seriously injured.
Three others at the scene declined treatment, police said.
Chapel Hill police say they arrested the suspect, Mohammed Reva Taheriazar, 23, of Chapel Hill, shortly after the incident. Several witnesses were able to give police the Jeep Cherokee's license plate number.
Police said they would charged Taheriazar, who graduated from UNC last semester, with several counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Police are investigating an apartment in Chapel Hill, which they say is connected to this case.
And I do not know if this is related, but here is something from the same web site:
The apartment complex has been evacuated, but authorities have not provided any further details about the situation.
Check my last post; what do you think?
What the heck is road rash?
It doesn't say where he was born.
Heh...and he's a loser terrorist at that. Couldn't even put people in the hospital.
Name sounds vaguely Iranian FWIW.
Well, thank the Lord that Mo didn't stuff the SUV full of explosives. Prayers for those hurt.
well, i've run my jeep over all sorts of obstacles... logs, stumps, snow banks, sand dunes, deer.. but i never tried people. i wonder if consumer report will make a new category for ability to run down people?
