Bill O'Reilly just defended David Gregory's drunken appearance on Imus radio show tonight on "The Factor". O'Reilly claimed Gregory was a "good guy", and "was probably just tired" so "I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt". Even guest Juan Williams was amazed, saying Gregory had ruined his credibility.
What about being married to someone depraved enough to work for Jamie Gorelick?
LOL, who cares if its true, it's the PERCEPTION and the seriousness of the charge that matters.
Play the audio 24/7, and then take a poll.
Here is a contrarian view: Dick Gregory should be PRAISED for his performance. Maybe then more liberal commentators will follow his lead. IMHO, it wouldn't degrade the nonsense coming out of their mouth. Heck, if they got drunk enough, the truth might occasionaly slip out.
Well that certainly settles it. They will need to issue other statements though, that he wasn't high, that he wasn't on drugs, that he wasn't depressed, that he wasn't getting tickled by a gay lover, that he wasn't oxygen deprived, etc. It's a good thing NBC keeps on top of its reporters so well. I wonder if we'll hear more about this on the hemorrhoid cream newscasts.
Ah, so they DIDN'T say that he wasn't stoned.
Ole' Bill has some sympathy for people that get burned by embarassing phonecalls that get 'airplay'.
I suppose BOR wanted to give Gregory, that snot nose punk, a pass.

Booze or dope or all the above. O'R could afford to play nice because he knows the guy shot himself in his ball. He lost the other one at the Whitehouse briefing.
Gregory sounded drunk or stoned.
NBC says he wasn't drunk, so I guess he was stoned on some drug.
What's up with him is his little schtick..."fair and balanced" ---he pinpoints certain boring topics (Gregory's alcoholism) and he plays the liberal. On most important matters he is mostly conservative...but an entertainer is what he is really about.
Often he's interesting, sometimes he's a Geraldo wannabe. Eeeew.
Hey, Bill--being really tall is an advantage--but it isn't everything.
O'Reily is not a big thinker. As long as his staff prepares him on a topic, he sounds like he knows what he is talking about. But when he has to come up with something original like "what do we think about drunk news readers", he can't get off the ground. This is the same guy O'Reily was condemning for screaming at the Press Secretary over Cheny's hunting accident.
I like Bill O doing what he is doing.
Had not Fox come along and given him this opportunity he may have wondered off over the horizon like so many news readers in the past.
Fox and the conservative audience have made Sean, Alan and Bill O stars beyond their wildest hopes.
"so I guess he was stoned on some drug."
Prolly high on ego?
I heard it live and if he wasn't high on something he was putting on a good act...
