The betrayal of America
The Augusta Free Press ^ | February 20, 2006 | Max Friedman

Posted on 02/28/2006 3:36:19 PM PST by EveningStar

This column is a rant, not a soft, cuddly piece of fluff opinion. It is going to tell the truth like you have never heard it before. To quote Jack Nicholson from the movie "A Few Good Men" - "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth" - but I'm going to give it to you anyway.

So, as your mother used to do to those of you readers who are old enough to remember, hold your nose and take your medicine, because the doctor is in, and he's operating with a chainsaw.

After 35 years in the news/journalism business, from D.C. to Vietnam, I can honestly say that most of the leading Democratic Party politicians and their far-left support groups are traitors to this country. Besides the few who are deceased or out of office, today's DP is loaded with leaders who have sold out this country to the communists, to the Islamofascists and to their egos. Others are just plain stupid, addle-brained and knee-jerk jerks.

(I'll get to the Republicans in a minute)...

Only Fox News Channel comes close to providing news no one else reports, a sort of visual version of The Washington Times (the best source of information on terrorism and security issues in the daily print media) and its cousin, The Weekly Standard, followed by Newsmax and Worldnetdaily.com.

Newsmax and WhirledNutsDaily? Really? He was doing so well up to that point.

A brave soul. How long before he has a "car accident", his airplane "crashes", or he commits "suicide Im sorry you are confused. This is the United States, not the PRC, Cuba, the EU or Putin's Russia. Mr Max will enjoy and long and full retirement. Nothing at all will happen to him except inevitable old age that one day claims us all.

You might want to ask Vince Foster about that.

Until these pukes that you mentioned are prosecuted the law will be perceived as 'animal farm' rules, and until they're prosecuted the law will be marginalized. Grrrrr - one of my first posts on FR was asking for guillotines for these rats and with an understanding the french revolution craziness.

Thanks for your thoughtful post. I will look up that Federalist Paper as I am studying all that stuff now. I'm no brainiack either !! But the words of all these people you mention astonish me. Certainly, God was in the mix to guide these men to this superior form of government.

It saddens me to say that perhaps a civil war will be the only way to shake things up, to wake people up.

The point on Communism was not missed Sirs and Ladies within our own Country's history as illustrated in this article.

Communism and socialism have failed miseribly all over the world by design. Back in the 80s my company purchased a subsidiary in Bulgaria. The lack of motivation of the people floored me. They had no reason to reach for the stars. How humiliating for the human soul !!!

My Liberal friends want the government to provide all for them. What an idiotic view, I ask them, who do you think is going to pay for it ? That is why they call them DUH !

Thank you for indulging me. Thanks

Ask Pukin' Dog about it. The level of communist infiltration is astounding and unraveling it would unravel the nation itself. Atruistic people get elected. They get into the spider's nest and are caught. They play ball, they're allowed into the charade with some power. They don't play, they ain't gonna be allowed to play. Answer me this, are we already communist? The Right to Life? ha! Ask an aborted fetus. The Right Liberty? Yeah, right, just try it, bub. The Right to Happiness? What balderdash, someone's happiness will always annoy Gladys Kravitz.

About to turn 69.

I know we have to keep fighting the leftist ba$tard$ in and out of our government and in our media.

We have no choice.

I'd as soon die trying than sit back and do nothing.

"I don't know how accurate or responsible this article is. However, it's certainly entertaining. "

I am old enough to remember much of which he wrote about, and it is accurate and responsible.

Your "intellectual" snide comment is neither.

Many thanks for posting this article! I just sent the URL (Augusta Free Press) to my local liberal newspaper with some excerpts and a suggestion that they adopt a more central position. (They just don't get why circulation is down.)

I read this on the Tony Snow thread this morning as it was posted in its entirety.

WOW. Just WOW.

I would love to e-mail it to everyone in my addy book, but they probably would think it was just "too long". (You have to say that with a whine and a pouty lip.)My mom will appreciate it; however, I will send it to her. Thanks for keeping it out there.

"are we already communist?"

I really hate to use that term, but we are well on our way to something that few on this forum would wish to see.

I doubt if the millions who died under "fascist" Hitler and the millions who died under communist Stalin, could tell you the philosophical differences between the two. Though the two ideologies are on opposite ends of the political spectrum, or so say some (though a more true spectrum would show them both to be on the same end).
