The betrayal of America
The Augusta Free Press ^ | February 20, 2006 | Max Friedman

Posted on 02/28/2006 3:36:19 PM PST by EveningStar

This column is a rant, not a soft, cuddly piece of fluff opinion. It is going to tell the truth like you have never heard it before. To quote Jack Nicholson from the movie "A Few Good Men" - "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth" - but I'm going to give it to you anyway.

So, as your mother used to do to those of you readers who are old enough to remember, hold your nose and take your medicine, because the doctor is in, and he's operating with a chainsaw.

After 35 years in the news/journalism business, from D.C. to Vietnam, I can honestly say that most of the leading Democratic Party politicians and their far-left support groups are traitors to this country. Besides the few who are deceased or out of office, today's DP is loaded with leaders who have sold out this country to the communists, to the Islamofascists and to their egos. Others are just plain stupid, addle-brained and knee-jerk jerks.

(I'll get to the Republicans in a minute)...

why not post the entire article

Because that would be theft. Theft is a crime. FR is a conservative site. Conservatives are anti-crime.

We're having a pretty discouraging week here, OldFriend. In this conservative town, there have been 3 letters to the editor accusing the president of treason, lying, and endorsing impeachment.

If Republicans don't understand they'd better step up to the plate to defend him, the policies regarding the WOT and refuting the lies of the leftists, then they will lose the House in November and the president will be impeached.

I just can't think of anyone on our side who I trust anymore to get the truth out and say what needs to be said. I wasn't this discouraged during Clinton's years.

One of the talk shows would be wise to grab this guy for interviews.

Wouldn't it be great to interview him here on FR.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I forget that I sometimes buy into the media BS myself. But, raw faith in our solidarity brought us through the '04 elections when the Democrats were supposedly blowing our doors off. All the polls except one were showing Kerry as the winner.

And let's not forget the media spin on election day, about the early "victory" for Kerry. After the smoke settled, it was just more propaganda and nothing else!

Thanks again!

Here's some background on Walter Pincus..... http://www.aim.org/aim_report/A452_0_4_0_C/ (The author of the article suggests checking his background from 1959)

I do not believe that either of our two illustrious parties could exist for two months without the other.

Well said. Though many won't admit it, a democrat is a communist (or worse) a RINO is a socialist and the mushy middle of the Republican party act like democrats 20 years ago.....heck Zell Miller reflects my values more than mcCinsane.....the next Republican contender for the White House.

I had other reasons to be depressed during X42 years. My son was four years in the Army, stationed in Germany.

The foreign policy decisions made by that president brought us to this point and it will be generations before there is any sense of security in the civilized world.

People think that X42 was just a scoundrel, he was much worse than most imagine.

The dangers are monumental and the ego-maniacs we created in the right wing radio are as dangerous in their own way, for they distract from the WOT.

Ben's articles always offer food for thought. I must confess I really enjoy those articles that offer the food but also a lively debate. What a legacy to one's article. imho

Do my best to have a good week, beloved just deployed to Iraq so things are really quiet on the homefront.

My husband has spent two days writing a letter to the editor about the dangers that Clinton brought to this nation with his inattention and meddling in situations he didn't have a clue about. He's gotten so angry writing the letter I've feared for his health.

The leftists are malignant narcissists and have darned near destroyed this country. I mean that with every fiber of my being.

And I can see why you were particularly concerned during those years with your son overseas.

I'd better go watch television or I'll be having a real pity party soon :(

I'll talk with you tomorrow and maybe we'll feel differently. I pray we do.

"Must see this, special mention of John Kerry!"
Thank you. I read most off the article before I went to din din. He certainly bears his soul with a barrage of knowledge. The joy of knowledge can also turn into anguish if one is not carefull. The later being of no use to no one. Let us hope more of what he writes permeats this society to somehow make many mushy minds wake up and see not all is well in Cinderella land.

The concern was for my son, but his deployment was a learning experience for us that most families never get.

Their sons or daughters are not in the military and most could not find the continents on a map, let alone Kosovo, Somalia, Bosnia.....etc.

I don't believe you need to worry about there being an impeachment. The Democrats are digging themselves a hole they can't get out of with all of this rhetoric.

The country would literally implode if they tried something as stupid as that. The Stock market would crash like it has never crashed before, this country would become embroiled in complete economic mayhem. There would be businesses closing, unemployment would skyrocket, costs and taxes would go through the roof, and the Democrats would get all the credit because it would be obvious that their actions upset the balance.

So, pray that we have a strong turn out for '06!

No surprise to me. The Birch Society was giving out this information back in the '60's while the MSM hammered and tarred them into dust. Today, even many conservatives wince when they hear "JBS."

You might also want to ask Kerry and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) about the destruction of secret documents from the POW/MIA Task Force they headed in the mid-1990s, as well as their deal to cut out the human-rights requirements and live-sightings reports issue from the conditions for any diplomatic recognition of Hanoi's dictatorship. Former POWs and the families of MIAs are seething at this betrayal, which is why many Vietnam veterans will never vote for John McCain.

When McCain once again runs for the Repub presidential nomination, I hope conservatives remember this, and McCain-Feingold.
