PENNDEL, Pa. - Two judges say that a former Boy Scout leader who is HIV positive will go on trial for allegedly having unprotected sex with a 14-year-old boy and trying to arrange for sex with a minor on the Internet.
David Mayberry also faces charges for soliciting a child for sex on the Internet. Mayberry, 50, has been charged with eight crimes in two counties.
State agents said Mayberry confessed to meeting a teen online and engaging in unprotected sex with a child, even though he knew he was infected with HIV.
The teen boy who police said had sex with Mayberry testified that he met Mayberry in a chat room Nov. 2 and that on that same night, the two met in person and drove around the Schwenksville area before having sex in a church parking lot.
The discovery of the teen came after state agents busted Mayberry in an Internet sting where the agents posed as a 12-year-old boy. Prosecutors said that Mayberry planned to meet the fictitious teen at a Bucks County hotel. They said that when Mayberry showed up, he was arrested.
The chats and testimony from the 14-year-old were too graphic to report, but Mayberry and his family sat through it all in silence.
Mayberry is being held in jail on $1 million bail.
I was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, even Explorer Scout. The pack leaders, and every adult, was the father of a Scout. Our trust was total, no one had ever heard of such a thing as this. Yes, that was a jillion years ago. I wouldn't want to be a kid today. On your guard from age five onward.

Allowing homosexual men to lead Boy Scouts is absolutely the same as allowing a man to lead a pack of Girl Scouts. Now, if the Boy Scouts allowed lesbians to run the Boy Scouts, well then, that would be alright as nothing would happen. It would also be o.k. for gay men to lead the girl scouts as nothing would happen there as well. I don't care if gays are in the scouts- they just have to be in opposite gender camps.

You are wrong, girl scouts have embraced gay leaders and the Boy Scouts have not.
If you are gay, fine, but let some of us straight people to live as well..
No, I'm not gay. I didn't know that about the girl scouts as my girls play softball and compete in junior rodeo. They were never interested in scouts as we camp out every summer here in the Sierra Nevada. My answer was sort of tongue-in cheek. Didn't mean to offend. Jeez. When did the girl scouts adopt gays are o.k.?

By and large, gays have busier and louder cheerleaders than priests; after all, it isn't like the gays are breaking a trust, is it?

Wrong. Lesbians seem to fall into two types. The "men are evil and I hate them bitter shrew" type and the "gay is best for everyone so I'll recruit" type. Exposure of children to either is child abuse.
Scoutmasters should be real men who can teach the boys how to be real men. Not girlymen poofters. How can a lesbian teach a boy how to be a proper husband, father, provider? She can't.
The third law of homosexuality:
Any exposure of children to homosexual behavior is child abuse
