It's Time to Put Muslim Holidays in US Calendars

Dear Muslims in America,

May I suggest that it is time you got yourselves established as part of the American Way of Life, and not people of a religion that belongs to ‘them’ and not to ‘us’.

I have been sending the following email to various calendar makers. You may like to do the same and get your holidays included in the 2007 calendars.

I have noticed that many calendars in the USA list the Christian and the Jewish holidays, but not the Muslim ones.

As there are now 8 million Muslims in the USA, exceeding the 6 million Jews, Islam is now the second most popular religion in the USA, after Christianity.

I feel that their holidays should also be included in the yearly calendars.

 Here is the list of Muslim Holidays that could be included on 2007 calendars.

BTW, if you are wondering why the dates of the Muslim Holidays are 10 or 11 days earlier each year, it is because they follow the lunar year, which is about 355 days.

So the dates for 2007 will not work for 2008!

Our desk pad calendars have the US, Mexican and Canadian holidays. As well as some English, as I recall.

However, editing on my part has deleted Mexican and muslim holidays. I WILL NOT HONOR THOSE HOLIDAYS. PERIOD.

In my view, islam is as much a fraudulent religion as is scientology. Actually, I deem both more cult than religion.

You can respond to this by quite prominently blacking out the Muslim holidays if you happen to get a calender that celebrates the holy days of this cursed cult. Send the message that Islam may be part of somebody's world, but it's not part of yours.

I know "we" have some goofy ways of dates too (fourth Sunday after ... and whatever) - but at least we use a regular calendar.

Although I hope they don't change..more of a chance for them to mess up on coordinating attacks if they have a couple of calendars going.

1. The beheading of 27 innocent US-trained Iraqi military on November 25th! Perhaps you can celebrate by beheading an infidel on your block!

If someone wants to write calendar manufactures and request that they produce calendars with Muslim holidays on it, I have no problem with it. We are talking about capitalism. Produces making what consumers want.

True, I only ask that the identify which calendars have møøslimb holidays. This will allow me to avoid accidentally buying one.
