In Florida's U.S. Senate race, Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson leads U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris, his likely Republican challenger, 53 - 31 percent, similar to his lead in August 31, 2005, and November 15, 2005, Quinnipiac University polls. Republicans back Harris 62 - 22 percent, while Democrats back Nelson 82 - 7 percent and independent voters go with the Democrat 55 - 23 percent.
"U.S. Rep. Harris has gained no ground against Sen. Nelson, who has a lukewarm 49 - 20 percent approval rating for the third poll in a row," Brown said.

Joe Brower's Post:
"Anyone know how to get KH t-shirts?"
I just called their campaign office in Tampa (813-365-7475 from my locale), and spoke to a very nice lady named Donna, who said they had a pile of about 250 shirts looking at her at that moment. $:-)
She's mailing me four of them. First come, first served, gang!
I agree that it is a way too soon to give up on any race at this point. Are the Primary Elections over and I forgot to vote? It's a long campaign from now until the General Elections. Not ready to concede any race just yet.
McBride was a poor candidate. He is not the least bit attractive, and has a grating, squeaky voice. People make many of their decisions on who to vote for based on appearance and appeal and McBride had neither.
He also carried the full Democratic Party's Leftist ideas.
And McBride was supposedly in a dead heat with Jeb Bush. What's your point?
Harris is gonna win because after we stopped the democRAT cheating in 2000, Florida turned out to be 66% Republican!!
Nelson is no more than a float in the Macys' parade.
Get with it, and get behind Harris. Geez, I've been telling you people for years....
Are Y'all maroons??...............FRegards
I sure wish I could get a copy of an interview Nelson did back in the early 80's... I was newly returned to the Sunshine State and was not yet politically involved here. About 1983 Nelson [as Congressman from Brevard] said [roughly]: Christians should not be allowed to vote; they are mindless and easily manipulated, not capable of thinking for themselves."
[Even if he is right in my case - I STILL DO NOT LIKE HIM!]
On the subject of Gov/Sen. Graham, he did away with auto inspections in Florida as Governor, and ASSURED himself a seat at the table forever. [Does sort of make you wonder about universal suffrage, doesn't it?] Oh... he also assured our roads would be full of cars with no headlights, windshields or brake light. I hate auto inspections, but it would be nice if the FHP would occasionally cite someone for running for a year on their spare 'donut' tire!
I sure want one of those T-shirts.
