Now that some of my kids are entering high school, I realize they need me more now than they did when they were preschoolers! I'm trying to talk my daughter into becoming a stay-at-home mom. She's in a position to do so right now and since she has an 8 yr old and one due at any time at home is where she should be.

I saw this woman on GMA while I was at the gym. She's an absolute nut. She is also a snob. She kept emphasizing the "educated woman" over and over again. It was their duty to do by society, not their family. I was absolutely appalled. I am an educated woman and my first priority is my children. I homeschool them so they can have the absolute best education possible. I want to instill morals and values in them. I want them to be critical thinkers and not line towers. I don't want them indoctrinated by some liberal relativist on how they should act or who they should be or who they should like or how to avoid the truths in life if it suits your needs. I want my boys to grow up to be Godly men, leaders of this country in whatever way they should go. And that is the most important job of all.

I know a lot of women who believed these lies when they had babies 20 years ago. To a woman, if they had it to do again, they would have taken a good 15-20 years off and spent more time with their children. Let her rant and rave. Younger women know the truth. The other truth is that there still can be a career after the young ones graduate from high school. The brains you had in your early twenties are still there in your mid-forties!

I watched part of this on TV and could not believe what I was hearing.
