Pretty simple: when Muslims are not killing Westerners, they are killing each other. And when they are killing Westerners, they are killing each other.

In Jordan, King Abdullah II warned that the destruction of the mosque "is aimed at sowing and fanning sectarian strife among the Iraqi people". Yep, and it sure ain't the American military.
Kinda reminds me of a situation in a Tom Clancy novel when the Russians arranged for an explosion at the Kremlin that killed some schoolchildren, but blamed it on the West so they could use it as a pre-text to WWIII.
Sound familiar? The only think missing is the schoolkids.

If they blew up the shrines for the 10th and 11th imams, isn't the Iranian leader all hot and bothered for the 12th imam- (antichrist) to come? Didn't he build a shrine? I wonder if these 2 events are connected? Getting rid of the competition.

This is another brilliant Machiavellian rope-a-dope plot that was planned and executed by Karl Rove, Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Halliburton.
Scooter Libby would have taken part if he could have.

This attack was done by outside elements wanting to see democracy fail miserably in Iraq. Possible conspirators are Iran, Syria and/or al Qaeda. If Iraq erupts in civil war, the Iraqi people will suffer horribly. Iran and Syria stand to gain power and prestige in the twisted politics of the Muslim world. Already, there are hundreds of reports on the web indicating the shrine attack
warns of civil war. Of course, we, the taxpayers of the U.S., will be big losers.

Thanks for posting this, it's 8.00am daylight saving time in Eastern Australia, just saw the News on TV, there are what looks like many thousands of screaming and shouting shia in the street and that ugly, fat Sadr is making a speech, waving his fist, the typical expression of muslim anger that never seems to cease...it would seem that if things quieten down, they just blow something up -be it a mosque or a cartoon out of proportion -
Didn't Sadr visit Iran recently? I smell Iran all over this. The next 24 hours will be interesting.

In other related news...The Bush administration has authorised the sale of "management rights" over the FAA to a consortium of arab sheiks including the some brother of Ibrahim Al Zarqawi, stating "I will veto any legislation put onto my desk designed to thwart this sale to our friends."

Undoubtedly hidden hands are at work to provoke Shias to attack mosques and sites respected by the Sunnis. Any kind of measure to this end is equivalent to supporting the objectives of the enemies of Islam and is haram. It's ironic that the word "haram" means forbidden as well as holy, or sacred.

Is it just me, but is a global sheit/sunni war a decent second choice to building a democracy in Iraq (Let the Kurds have their own state, F Turkey).
We basically did'nt hear jack from them while they were busy killing each other (the Iran/Iraq wars).
If I can get my two enemys to fight to the death I will. I'd even sell ammo to the one currently losing in order to keep the sides even.
Neapoleon left france without balls, WWII did it to the Germans and the Japs. Perhaps the 21st centurys 100 year war will finally leave the Muslim world sick of war and out of oil.
