Ah. Didn't get that far. Thanks.
If I have this straight, they're going to put him to sleep before they put him to sleep.
bttttt.......
Two words: "Old Sparky."
Set up from the get go. They pursued being the doctors present specifically to walk out and delay the execution. Complaints about the court text were simply an excuse to do what they planned to do anyway.
Yank the liceses of these two quacks for a time equal to the amount of time this scum has been on death row.
The problem with this doesn't lay with the doctors, it's with the moron judge who deemed this "painful and inhumane". What a crock.
Where's Kevorkian these days?
It seems to me these "doctors" could be charged with obstruction of justice. Overall this is another reason to bring back hanging.
Just import some doctors from Oregon.
>>>Why are vegetarians pro-abortion?
And for that matter, why are "animal rights activists" always pro abortion?>>>
Same thing. (Or at least that was my point), but yeah, why is that!?!
23 years to get to this point. What is the point of a punishment anyway? Set the bum free and let rape and murder some more; perhaps the children of the lawyers. < /sarcasm >
"Maybe we can send the guy to Oregon. They have doctors up there that will kill grannie just because she is wetting the bed at night."
You have some articles about doctors doing this? Last I saw, Oregon averaged about 20-25 assisted suicides per year.
Perhaps you're right, perhaps not. I just tire of the constant attempts to turn everything to abortion. When nut lady cut her baby girl's arms off, one of the first comments was a snide remark about abortion. It just gets old when we can't talk about the topic at hand without someone always dragging abortion into it.
And for the record,I know something about the medical field.
Me too, I'm married to it.
)the Hypocratic Oath absolutely forbids any physician from participating in executions in any way and those who do should lose their medical license
Hypocratic Oath? Is that an oath for hypocrites? Physicians USED to take the Hippocratic Oath, now a few medical schools still offer the opportunity with an option to opt out, but most have let the practice slip into antiquity. It's for the most part no longer in use.

I'm personally opposed to executions in general, but if it has to be done, the medical profession should have no part of it.
Well, I don't know about that. I blame the courts.
The article doesn't explain fully what happened, but I suspect that the doctors got nervous that they'd have their license to practice medicine yanked if they went forward, and so they asked the court for a ruling that this would not be grounds for having their licenses yanked. Obviously, they weren't happy with what the court gave them. Can you blame them, if that's what the situation was?
The real problem is that the courts required doctors to be present in first place, and then when the doctors asked for appropriate assurance that they'd not lose their licenses, the courts balked. To me, that's the court's fault.
Maybe we charge the judge with obstruction of justice.
Yeah, it is one of the wonderful things about living here. I can easily ride 340 or more days a year.
