State attorney general candidate Jeanine Pirro has made a surprising admission.
The former Westchester County district attorney told the state's Conservative Party leadership that she owns three guns. Pirro says she believes in tough gun control laws, but doesn't want to take the rights away of gun holders who are legal. Pirro says her main goal has been to keep illegal guns out of circulation, not curtail legal gun ownership.
At a Monday meeting in Albany, the GOP candidate told Conservatives, "I have done everything I can to get them off the street, to make them accountable, to increase penalties for those who have and traffic in illegal guns." Pirro had been a candidate for the GOP's Senate nomination to challenge Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton's re-election bid this year.
Pirro quit that race in December in the face of fundraising problems and a lack of support.

RINOs too smart by half pandering for the female vote?
For sure - didn't mean to give you a hard time.
Same in Ilinois.
Pass the back ground investigation, pay the fee and then you may buy one. Unless you are a cop you may not carry it concealed under any circumstances.
Well, strapping a .45 on your hip will likely keep people on their side of the street.
Sometimes it's good to let other's know where you stand.....
I lived in Chicago for two years. I know all about FOID. I also know that I will never live in, nor spend money, in Morton Grove or Oak Park.
A few states have open carry,I believe Virginia is one, though I might be wrong. Do you know which states have open carry?
I don't know.
I'm not the kind of person that has any objection to moderates, especially in deep blue states, it's not her positions I mind, even if I don't agree, it's her obvious personality problems and poor strategy and organization I object to.
I've never been in Morton Grove or Oak Park, so it's not likely I'll spend any money there. I live in central Illinois.
Central and southern Illinois are different worlds from Chicago and suberbs. Unfortunately we are governed by the same politicians that they are because they have the numbers and they are mostly democrats.
It's about the same in most states that have large cities, I hear the same thing from New Yorkers who do not live in NYC and Californians who do not live in their large cities.
The "Gimme something for nothing crowd" seems to gravitate to the cities in large numbers.
Michigan, "a blue state," has open carry. No laws forbid it, the open carrying of a pistol or other firearm, without unlawful intent and without brandishing, outside of a vehicle is legal.
New Mexico and Alaska.
I know they do here in VA. Caused a stink when some cops harassed a few guys wearing their firearms. Not sure of other places.
The Supreme Court has ruled that requiring a convicted felon to comply with gun registration laws is unconstitutional because it violates rights which prohibit involuntary self incrimination. The crook CAN be charged with unlawful possesion, but is immune from the requirement to register. That tells me that gun registration laws are not aimed at the criminal, but the LAW-ABIDING!!!!!
Maine is open carry. (You'll draw a cop if you try it in Portland, though.)
You need a CCW for concealed carry.
