State attorney general candidate Jeanine Pirro has made a surprising admission.
The former Westchester County district attorney told the state's Conservative Party leadership that she owns three guns. Pirro says she believes in tough gun control laws, but doesn't want to take the rights away of gun holders who are legal. Pirro says her main goal has been to keep illegal guns out of circulation, not curtail legal gun ownership.
At a Monday meeting in Albany, the GOP candidate told Conservatives, "I have done everything I can to get them off the street, to make them accountable, to increase penalties for those who have and traffic in illegal guns." Pirro had been a candidate for the GOP's Senate nomination to challenge Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton's re-election bid this year.
Pirro quit that race in December in the face of fundraising problems and a lack of support.

It sometimes helps to state the obvious.

Yeah, the owners complied with un-Constitutional state and local paperwork schemes and fees. Drat, that was the definition of a legal gun. The meaning of an illegal gun is that the owner failed to comply with un-Constitutional state and local paperwork schemes and fees.

"And Schumer has a CC permit."
If someone could get a copy of that permit and post it. Wouldn't that be a interesting?
Is this a public document?

If you buy a gun then you are supposed to register it. Only in some states and they are all blue states.

You cannot prioritize rights. Guns more important than speech? Voting, Freedon from unreasonable search and seizure, due process?

Voting was never part of the BOR. It's not an inalienable right, like the others. And for good reason: the other parts of the BOR are all about various rights of the people to be left alone and unharassed. Voting is about being able to control other people, and hence it's more than just a freedom; it's a power to be wielded. It's appropriate that that power be subject to some restrictions.

Jeanine Pirro apparently belongs to the "self-defense for me, but not for thee" wing of the Republican Party. Just like Feinswine does belongs to the "self-defense for me, but not for thee" wing of the DemocRAT Party.

What is an "illegal gun". Probably something like this:
Illegal Gun === yours
Legal Gun === hers.
Typical elitist gun grabber. Just like Fienstein, Schummer (who seems to like shooting "illegal guns".) the Bradys, etc. etc.I suspect you're right.

But the structure of government we live under calls for each person to have the right to participate in the political process and be free from harassment and interference on who they choose to vote for. The representatives are elected by the people to produce a republic type of government. Why do you think the whole "Taxation without representation" issue was so huge?

Why do you think the whole "Taxation without representation" issue was so huge?Because an entire continent was being shut out of the process. Voting was regarded (properly) by the founders the same way the second amendment is regarded (disingenuously) by modern liberals: as a collective right, rather than an individual right.

collective right? Hmmmm, sounds fishey to me but perhaps that was the logic used by racist crackers in the South to deny blacks the ability to vote.

No, the logic they used was the claim that blacks were less than fully human. Same logic they used to deny guns to them.

Every citizen in the US should be forced to watch PENN &T ELLER'S show on Gun control. I have never seen the debate illustrated so well with such wonderful historical perspecive and funny to boot! Anyone who for gun control after watching this show would be a fool. If you ever have a chance to watch it, DO!

Say Hello to Attorney General Cuomo.
I can't figure out why anybody ever thought this woman would be a good candidate. I've never seen anyone so tone-def in my life.

In NY State, you must APPLY FOR PERMISSION to merely OWN a handgun. The same law applies to shotguns and rifle as well in NYC.
