why don't you just slink away and nurse your wounds already instead of continuing to prove your militant ignorance?

Sure, whatever you say. If I am wrong, I am wrong, I have no problem admitting it (and I sure hope your smarter-than-thou stance has allowed you to notice I have not denied being wrong,) but it really bothers me to be continuously pursued by someone who, obviously, was one of the kids in school who not only was always right, but had to make sure everyone knew it, maybe because of some lurking insecurity, or something else. Who knows, who cares... But, hey, you have put me in my place, right?

So, go ahead and celebrate your little victory. Had I known that I would ruffle so many feathers by expressing what I have always understood to be the underlying story of Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow (little did I know that I had been told a story that was wrong, not to mention that I had been told so in FR,) and that I would then be persecuted for it, I would have simply avoided this one thread.

So, go ahead, celebrate...toss a cold one in my name. Just realize, I will be ready to do the same when you post something that's wrong.

Based on your completely fallacious understanding of the Armstrong family story, your tag line is perfect. For you.

Oh wow...you sure told me off...

Oh yeah, I forgot the

Hi All-

The simple fact-of-the-matter is that I dislike falsehood and misinformation more than I dislike liberals. Lance Armstrong and I certainly don't agree on politics, but I respect him as being a great cyclist and generally a positive role model for young Americans. He conquered cancer and has been helpful to others suffering from that terrible disease. All things considered, he is a decent person...and perhaps he will grow more conservative as he matures. He is only in his early-thirties, so it isn't unreasonable to believe that he'll come around.

Count me in as another fitness-minded FReeper who will watch for misinformation being spread by JRios1968 and TheBrotherhood about cyclist Lance Armstrong in their posts. He and his ex-wife have comported themselves nicely in the public eye and he appears to hold the interests of his kids paramount.

Maybe we could settle this without all the bickering, eh?

"Armstrong, also a victor over testicular cancer, met his wife in January 1997, just weeks after he had completed intense chemotherapy to treat an advanced stage of the disease. The two started dating in June 1997 and were married 11 months later....Kristin Armstrong earlier said several events related to her husband's celebrity and cancer comeback had strained the marriage. The Armstrongs' announcement came on the same day the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously congratulated him on his latest Tour victory."

Are all satisfied? Can we all stop arguing and kiss and make up?

The real news here, is not that Cheryl Crow has such an abiding dislike for George W. Bush, but that Lance Armstrong indulged in a fancy of showing support for the President.

That is both remarkable and newsworthy.

If I was a millionaire celebrity, I would dump my wife too if she didn't tow my line. I could always buy a new girlfriend or wife (with a prenump, of course..).

I'd just like to thank you for probably the single finest example of the exact thing I was referring to, militant igorance.

Instead of just shutting up and going away, you take it upon yourself to paint in fluorescent orange "I'm an idiot, and I don't care who knows it!" on your chest.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly how someone posting to you twice is being "continuously pursued by someone". You might want to see someone about that heavy-duty persecution complex you got there.

Oh, and it isn't "If I am wrong, I am wrong". You ARE wrong. Get over it.

Lance Armstrong breaking up with Cheryl Crow, because of BUSH!

This didn't have to end in breakup. He could have just asked her to get a Brazilian wax.

I thought I'd string the straight line along with with yours so someone else would pick up on the joke.

It's Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life

is the book everyone should read. Truly inspiring and the Crow is hardly mentioned at all, but he continuously praises his ex.

Someone needs to make a movie of this. Are you listening Clint? I think you could redeem yourself and do a great job with this...especially since the euthanazia film sucked so bad.
