Libyans protesting the Prophet Muhammad cartoons set fire to the Italian consulate in Benghazi on Friday in a riot that killed at least 10 people, an Italian diplomat said.
Libyan security officials said 11 people were killed or wounded during the six-hour riot when police firing bullets and tear gas tried to contain more than 1,000 demonstrators hurling rocks and bottles. The casualties included police officers, but the officials declined to say how many people had died.
Italian diplomat Domenico Bellantone said between 10 and 11 people had died, and all were Libyan _ either police or protesters. He spoke after the Libyan interior minister had briefed the Italian ambassador to Tripoli on the riot.

Yeah, I was just thinking it's a good thing it is a religion of peace! Just think how violent they would be if they weren't so peaceful!
Nope, unfortunately it's going to get worse.
And when it is over we will know whether or not our tax dollars will go toward building mosques and whether our wives and daughters will shop at Victoria's Burkah.
The more you cosset and appease these people the more violent and rapacious they become.

You know, I try to be nice, but it's finally time in my mind for these people to die. I've had enough.
I hate to say it, but there was some sordid part of me that had wished the French insurrection had lasted longer, to prove that Muslims are not just a threat to the US.
This is definitely a worrisome turn of events. I certainly hope that the world takes the threat of Islamo-fascism more seriously.
Prayers up for all of those who have lost their lives.
