Limbaugh makes error about Brown's race
Associated Press
WASHINGTON - Brown is black in the eyes of Rush Limbaugh. When Iraq war veteran Paul Hackett was forced out of the Democratic primary in the U.S. Senate race in Ohio, the conservative commentator criticized The New York Times for not saying that the Democrats' preferred candidate is black.
Limbaugh later found out from e-mails to his nationally syndicated radio show that the candidate, Rep. Sherrod Brown, is, in fact, white.
"Uh, Sherrod Brown's a white guy? Then I'm confusing him with somebody. OK, I'm sorry," Limbaugh said this week.
Brown is a seven-term congressman and former Ohio secretary of state who is running against GOP Sen. Mike DeWine.
"Rush Limbaugh obviously knows as much about me as the Republicans know about balancing the budget," Brown told the Chronicle-Telegram of Elyria, Ohio, for an article published Friday.
Later in his show, Limbaugh said he kept getting e-mails. "We have corrected this, and I, you know, I'm not gonna apologize because I don't think it's an insult to be black," he said.
In 2003, Limbaugh was pushed off ESPN's NFL preview show after he said quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed.

On Thursday night's BOR, Tony Snow was interviewing Begala and Chester Q-Ball, when Tony asked Begala about Senator Clinton. Twice Begala used the pronoun 'he' for the Senator.
Admittedly, it was probably intentional, thinking he would be complimenting her.

Rush was not getting a BJ in the freakin' White House. The MSM can shove it.
Question...what administration had the most Black appointee's in their cabinet, Clinton or Bush?
Now, who is the racist?????? Get lost.
To: iPod Shuffle
I catch the AP in factual errors daily, but never see an article pointing it out. I guess Rush is just more powerful than they are.

I wonder who at Associated Press is assigned the task of monitoring Rush's show to catch mistakes.

In 2003, Limbaugh was pushed off ESPN's NFL preview show after he said quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed. Wrong. He said that the media overated McNabb.
I expect tomorrow's headline will be: "AP makes error about Limbaugh" -- not.

Google is showing 213 separate stories involving Limbaugh and Sherrod Brown.!!!!!
I find fewer but still WAY too many when I put quotes around "Sherrod Brown" in news.google.com.
Results 1 - 30 of about 116 for Limbaugh Sherrod-Brown
At least one is the Newsbusters' tip that AP is petty...
At this time, there are 40 sites that have run with the headline "Rush Limbaugh paints Senate candidate wrong color"

No one in the MSM listens to Rush's show (despite the fact that he has 5 million listeners at any instant and upwards of 20million listeners every day).
AP probably picked up on the story from some leftwing rant site. He's pointed out instances where he has been misquoted from his show and where he has made a point for weeks before the MSM got around to speculating in an area he has been discussing for awhile.

Not surprising from a party that assumes that Lynn Swann is white.Murrymom says Swann is white too.
Of course, she doesn't mind being racist, because Swann has left her democrat plantation, and thus deserves it.

Randi Rhodes managed to got a three-hour rant out of this one fact complete with audio recordings dissected in great detail. It's amazing what you can do when you are a complete loon.

Tomorrow's headline will be about Rush mistakenly saying today that San Francisco voted against allowing the 'Missouri' to dock in the city and it took him nearly
FOUR MINUTES to correct himself and
admit that the ship's name was the 'Iowa', not the 'Missouri'. The story will include quotes from outraged Democrats in Missouri and Iowa who were insulted by Limbaugh's slur.
The scumbags of the dying liberal "mainstream" newsrooms are keeping a watchful eye on the dangerous Mr. Limbaugh.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I wear a 9 3/4 size hat, and even my head doesn't look like that.

It is a coordination media smear tactic not based in fact.
It is like the redacted Bill Bennett quote about abortion. He made a statement of someone else's position AND IMMEDIATELY distanced himself from that person's argument yet the media took him to task over the original statement and even questioned how such a thing could happen and why didn't he catch what he had said and offer an apology.
NO apology was necessary because he had properly prefaced the statement and he reiterated that it would be wrong to look to such arguments to make the case for/against abortion.
The media is deliberately miscasting the situation to lead the rest of America to the wrong conclusion.
Since it is doubtful that they listened to Rush's show and filed this report, where DID AP get this tip? Enquiring minds want to know.
