"It basically screams "I have nothing of value to say!""
Nothing of value? LOL, You were the one that called those opposed to this issue "intellectually lazy" and then said Malkin was wrong, only to find out that you ARE intellectually lazy because she quoted the NY Post.
You're now dismissing both Malkin and NY Post (yet haven't provided any evidence to the contrary).
I can see what a waste of time any future dialogue would be (which is why it won't happen).

"If you don't care about king and schumer then why are you parroting their talking points."
You think anyone who disagrees with this is parroting those two? In my case, it's in spite of them. It struck me as not such a great idea when I first read about it last week, and still does.
To: Pukin Dog
You got it right, Pukin!!!
This is red meat for the reds. They'll bat this about like a cat toying with a mouse... They can't afford to kill this thing.

"his is not a good time to be ramming through more foreign control of anything perceived as security-sensitive"
Not what is happening. The UAE company purchased a company with contracts to operate ports - not control them. The US cannot shoot down this merger. The only thing that could happen is for the ports to decide to cancel the contract with the British company being acquired. Unless the contracts had an M&A provision the ports WILL be slammed with penalties.
The ports are trying to skate on this and old Schummer and Santorium are pandering to the locals. You've been duped. This is about contract law and idiots and crooks in the Ports Authorities.

Can you vouch for ANY port administration company currently operating ports in the US?
Port administrators are rarely in the news, except in New York with the WTC rebuilding and all. They could be full of all sorts of radicals for all we know.

,i>Which is the real lunacy, President Bush's plan to have Arab Muslims control the security of our east coast shipping ports, or Michael Savage's plan to stop it from happening?
Well I guess you don't consider lying as being a part of lunacy, since your above is a complete lie and chuckie schumer talking point.

Sorry, sounds like savage bent over for schlumer.
Savage is way off on this one, IMHO.

Oh I agree, there are several issues, like prescription drugs as well, but to equate shumer and clinton as strong on national security, come on. If it talks like a rat, smells like a rat, thinks like a rat, looks like a rat, it's definately a rat. This is nothing more than political grandstanding, and some conservatives are taking the bait.

"Are you 100% sure not a single islamist sympathizer works at a port in any capacity? "
No, I'm not sure at all. And, I'm even less sure when the port is being operated by a company owned by the bastards ... get it?

Really? I thought they had something to do with the Internet? See there? Anyone can make a mistake.

This port issue is a tempest in a teapot stirred up by Shmucky Shumer and Hitlery in an effort to make themselves look good on Homeland Security issues. This issue has been out there for a couple of days but everyone was focused on Cheney. The first politician that I heard speak about it was King yesterday on Hannity.
The first article appeared on FR on the 11th.
Company From United Arab Emirates Poised to Oversee Six American Ports Due to Sale ^

He'll change a bit once he thinks it over. Probably just stunned that Schumer called him.

Operate. Control. Both involve authority; it's just a matter of degree. Word parsing is not going to make this go away.
